After six years, I decided to load a new blogger template that retains simplicity while adding a few bells and whistles. If you find this new template is slow to load, or have other comments or suggestions, let me know.
This loads so slow. And I don't like that you moved columns to the left side. I naturally read Semitic writings... so I am used to looking at the right side of the text.
I guess I should put that up to a vote. I switched them to the left at the request of some people. But it makes no difference to me where they are. I'll leave that up to my readers. Whoever wants them on the right, let me know here. Whoever wants them to stay the way they are, let me know here. At the end of the week, I'll follow the wishes of a majority of my readers.
The only opinion that really counts is Seamus. How does he feel about the change? If he's ok, then we have to be. He knows all about all so I'll trust his judgment.

Seems to be slower loading, and reacting to clicks.
Other than that, I like the dark text on the white background. Makes it easier to see, not necessarily to read, but to see.

I hate when familiar things get changed, arbitrarily, for no discernable reason...I liked that warm brown background. sigh
