LVR's Blog Traffic

Every time I write about someone, he or she will be peppered with emails, warning them to stay away from me. One of the reasons they're to stay away, among many, is that this blog has no readers and I supposedly post all the anonymous comments myself. "O'Hare's blog averages around 600 daily 'visits' from approximately 150 different daily readers. 95% or more of O'Hare's blog comments are from 'anonymous.'"

Actually, this blog averages around 1,600 weekday readers. Yesterday, for example, there were 1,789 unique visitors, a little higher than the 600 or so claimed. 690 came back for a second helping.

It's hardly the millions you'll see in a national blog. It's not even what you'll find in a humor blog. But for a local political blog, I feel pretty good about it.

I think you should monetize your traffic with at least one banner ad on top.

Your first advertiser:
Pugliese Associates...

They Pay & you Play, there you have another example of Pay to Play!

Writin' all those anonymous comments must be murder, Bernie. How *do* you find the time? ;)

Love ya Bernie but in the LV at least 150 people a day eat their boogies.Anonymously of course.

Congrats Bernie,

I dont always agree, and hate when censored but like the platform for communication.

Bernie, I'm a news junkie. The only thing that will get me to come to your site more often are more posts. We know your bias shows in some of the posts -- and whose doesn't? -- but it's still better than having to wait forever to find out anything from the Morning Call. More stories, s'il vous plaît.

That is a low ball estimate.
Drive North on 512 through Wind Gap, over to Bangor......
hundreds of boogie eaters

Thank you for your efforts

Those are definitely good numbers for a local site. Not sure how the analytics tool tracks, but I have your RSS feed in Google Reader, so unless I'm commenting, I read the posts, but never visit the site.

You're probably under-reporting your reach.

On the flip side, I got an email from Patch.com recently asking me to advertise. It claimed they reach 70% of their community each month. I asked for documentation and haven't heard back. I'd suggest 70% is next to impossible.

Agreed, Ross. That number is insane.

Retired ASD teacher here.

I suspect the worth of this blog is in the demographic of its readership, not just volume.

Seems to me, many "connected" readers visit here regularly, either for education, or entertainment.

Nice job. For more uncensored and honest information and discussion on all things Lehigh Valley go to Lehigh Valley Rumblings.

Thanks, Mr. Peace,

Hey ASD, one of those "connected" readers is you.

Congrats. You scoop the two papers all the time. Don't always agree with you but I have to admit you are entertaining. I enjoy your take on things and have seen a different and unabridged angle on the BS that our local governments try to feed the masses.

Keep up the good work.

and we all know who the "critic" is.

Bernie -- your blog is a daily must read for people who want to be infuriated, entertained and educated.

Sometimes you manage all three at once with me.

Then my head explodes.

Love to love and hate you. This blog kicks serious ass.
