LC Comm'r Candidate Throws Support to Mike Schware

Mike Schware and his daughter, after beating me in a 5k.
Coopersburg resident Dan Paschke, who works for State Rep. Justin Simmons, is one of three candidates in contention for the seat recently vacated by Glenn Eckhart. The other two hopefuls are Norma Cusick and Mike Schware. But in an unusual and classy move, Paschke is now asking Commissioners to select Schware.

"I am asking that any Commissioners that were planning to vote for me, would instead, vote for Mike Schware," he writes in a prepared statement. "Mike’s background as an accountant and his past experience auditing the county budget would be a great asset to the board. His expertise would assist in bringing about the changes that need to be made in working toward the best interests of Lehigh County residents."

"classy move". Really? This is just a power play to get Schware voted in as the newest part of the WW Reform Team (Ott, Mazziotti, Scheller). BO, you have to realize what's going on here. Don't get sucked into the "classy move" line - this is a SET UP. I vote Cusick just so WW and the 3 henchmen don't get more control.

From what I've read, Cusick did not interview so well. I am well aware that Schware is a Woodmanphile, but I respect him and consider him a person of integrity.

Bernie, you pick and choose who you respect for so many different reasons. Hard to follow your consistency.

Schware is a real conservative, honest, not calculated and most likely will be a budget cutter. Much further away from Dean Browning's character. Bernie, you sure you will be ok with Schware???

As long as he acts with integrity and is independent.

I support both liberals and conservatives who believe in transparency, accountability and work hard.

But you support Dean Browning,he is anything but transparent. You should actually listen to others who know that, instead of Dean, who tells you what you want to hear.

I do support Dean, andconsider him very transoarent. It is Dean who pushed for online video of Comm'r meetings. It is Dean who pushed for publication of campaign finance reports on the county web page. Those are just two examples. If you want to attack him, how about exercisinng a little transparency yourselfby letting us all knowwho you are?

I hope Schware gets it so once and for all we will see how they operate. Am not forgetting how they promised to cut the budget of ALL the fat.Cant wait to see them sucking on bones coming up with excuses.Of all the fanfare in the 2010 elections the T party candidates that won are where now?All talk no action.
