Back in August, I told you that State Rep. candidate Charles Dertinger is pretty much bought and paid for by the unions. Through June 4, they poured $23,500 into his campaign. But based on his most recent report, I can tell you that's chump change. Over the summer, they've contributed another $68,760. That's well over half of the total he raised this summer. The rest comes from the Democratic Party. Governor Rendell kicked in $10,000 and the trial lawyers' PAC threw in another $10,500, to ensure a vote against tort reform. House leader Dwight Evans gave $5,000 to buy Dertinger's allegiance and obedience. Even Jenn Mann took a break from her consulting work at Vitetta to give Dertinger $500.
Union agents in training Steve "I'm the Controller" Barron and Mike "Call me Doctor" D'Amore, who made idiots out of themselves this Summer when they attempted to unionize a T-Mobile Call Center, kicked in $150 and $100, respectively. I know it's not much, but it's the thought that counts.
The ultimate good government guy, Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski, accidentally sent Dertinger $200. He was supposed to use that for his mancave permit.

Steve Barron wants Dertinger to help him pass the "put the baby in ma belly" law.
When Charles is sworn in maybe Barron will wear his kilt.
Bernie
Didn't Rendell also give Horton $10,000? Who knows who else.
Bernie
Why not post an informal local election projection poll today.
Money is the problem with our politicians. Rid the money and make them go door to door and whoever lies the least, get's my vote...

Yep.
"Why not post an informal local election projection poll today."
I am leery of internet polls bc they are too easily manipulated. For example, Jake Towne would win like Ron Paul always won the interent polls.
I'm voting for Whoreton. We need an amoral sleazeball who can successfully bring lots of out of town cash to the area. He's certainly proven that.
He would have been better to surround himself with some "Hooter Girls" Wearing the Union Tag.
The people he has surrounding him on his flyers are strange looking.
Is this it for Charles? How many losing efforts can the Dem's support with this guy? Time to move on and find new blood. Think outside the union box. Yes it takes capital but try spending it wisely. Find a conservative Dem. that has a business background and isn't owned by you know who! Work the problem!
The Unofficial Vote Count gave
Dertinger 8,293, if the unions alone gave him $ 92,200, that would come out to $ 11.12 per vote.
Could you find out the total amount of his campaign?
In his last report, he raised $122K on top of what he alrady had. He also rec'd $84k in in-kind contributions.
Wow, if I add the 3 numbers together, it comes to $ 35.96 per vote!
There were complaints filed by voters about Dertinger people intimidating voters. Any follow up?
Really? I'll ask around.
