Morning Call Now Publishing Business Consultant Opinions

Jennifer Mann has left her job as a state representative for a more lucrative career as a consultant. Not only is the money better, but doesn't have to explain Super Bowl tickets that end up in her lap every hear. She's a sell out who cares a lot more about money than she ever did for the people she represents. Amazingly, The Morning Call published an op-ed from her yesterday about how wonderful the new Fed Ex facility is going to be. Obviously, she's been paid to shill for Fed Ex. But a so-called guardian of truth, The Morning Call, has allowed its pages to be used to spread the Corporate Word, with no warning to the reader whatsoever.

Pathetic. And she thinks anyone cares about her opinion.

She dos make good point sin her letter. Just because you don't like her doesn't mean she is wrong.

I don't like her. Her opinions are formed by those who pay her. I have no respect for her because she is a mouthpiece to the highest bidder.

FED EX should be building on old Bethlehem Steel Property off route 412 in Hellertown.

The real problem here isn't Mann but the editorial page editor who allowed/facilitated a bought op-ed to be printed as objective opinion. This undermines the Morning Call's credibility.
Jenn Mann has traded her political connections for monetary ones. She is an example of what's wrong with politics and politicians today. The Morning Call has provided us another example of what's wrong with its editorial page.

Bernie,

I think there is a whole angle to this Fedx story people are missing or are ignoring.

Is ABE going to become NE hub for Fedx? Are we going to be the new Memphis of the NE with hundreds of jets and thousands of trucks choking the skies and roads? Does anyone find it interesting that only the outbound lanes from the facility are going to be expanded and not the inbound? How do the parcels get there? Via ABE?

4:34, This has nothing to do with her opinion. This has everything to do with the fact that she is being paid to express it and The Morning Call is willing to allow its pages to be used for that purpose. I may be a bottom-feeding blogger, but a paper that does that is a sell-out. Whoever made that decision made his newspaper look bad.

I think both the Morning Call AND the Express Times have compromised themselves. I guess, though, whoever signs your paycheck also pulls your strings. It's just too obvious now.

I really encourage people to read and view other news outlets these days. It's critical.

Completely untrue. FedEx Air and Ground are two separate companies. Untrue about the outbound lanes as well.
