In stark contrast to the reclusive style demonstrated by Northampton County Executive John Brown, Bethlehem Mayor Bob Donchez will hold his second open-door meeting on March 10, 2014, so residents of the city can meet with him one-on-one.
“It is my belief that government should be accessible, open and responsive to the concerns of its constituents. My open door policy gives
The Mayor will open his door to the public on the second Monday of each month, beginning from 9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 1-3 p.m. The discussions will be 15 minutes in length and will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Democracy dies behind closed doors. Executive John Brown, after two months in office, has yet to define his transparency policy and regularly avoids the press.
political appointee is in over it's head
If the election were held again today, I'd vote for Brown. Callahan was just too sleazy and dishonest. That's how we end up with the lesser of two really shitty evils. God bless politics. It's not a place where one finds decent and competent people.
Having met Mayor Donchez over the years, it is a delight to see him in action! Opening city hall doors to the public. Way to go!
Booby D won only because his BFF had Gregory chewed up by the corrupt Norco justice system, O'Hara knows this and will never print the truth.
"If the election were held again today, I'd vote for Brown."
A ham sandwich would beat Brown if the election were held today.
i think you should compare Mayor D to Johnny Casino! Johnny lacked all transparency, was vindictive & abused his power.
thank heavens Bethlehem has a class act Mayor!
"A ham sandwich would beat Brown if the election were held today"
that depends. more details? would there be chips with the sandwich? spicy brown mustard.? Cause even as damaged as he is, I think it would take more than a simple ham sandwich to beat Brown.
As low as a 2 Bologona Sandwich w/Cheese, snack treat and bottle of water that is provided to the work release inmates...
"A ham sandwich would beat Brown if the election were held today."
Oh stop it. This is a prediction from the worst prognosticator in local politics who spent the entire delusional campaign smoothing his spot on Callahan's lap. A barfed ham sandwich would still embarrass sleazy Callahan.
