Pa Nat'l Guard Completes Gracedale Mission, Commends RN

The Pennsylvania National Guard has completed its mission at Gracedale. Over two weeks, 34 soldiers assisted primarily with nonCovid-19 residents. The "medical stike team" included 20 medics working as CNAs, one RN, 10 general purpose personnel and three squad leaders.

On their departure, they presented Teresa Bauer, a Registered Nurse at Gracedale, with a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition for all her “support tutelage and
supervision."

And guess what? One of these guards is now a Gracedale employee!

Many thanks to PA National Guard troops who pitched-in to help. I feel sure the residents were especially glad to see all of you there. Unfortunately, Governor Wolf and his Administration have proven incapable of making the right decisions on behalf our nursing homes.

Nursing homes and similar facilities represent 70% of all deaths reported as due to Covid-19. Certainly, many of those who passed over the past few months were labeled as Covid-19 for ‘shock value’ even though the connection to this virus was merely presumed to the primary morbidity.

There was plenty of time for our State officials to better prepare for this in places such as nursing homes. They just failed in their duties to care for nursing home residents and their families. Disgusting incompetence on the part of our State government. Possibly, even criminal. Time to vote out incumbent State politicians. Bring in others and keep them better focused on serving people, not just their own careers.

This is all caused by very bad leadership on the state level by Wolf and Levine I hope President Trump trumps Wolf and Levine and get pa business back to work. Trump is a real leader who has exposed the deep state and the left wing of the democratic party.

Just watched a few video clips from a Tucker Carlson show that aired last night. Both Wolf and Levine were roundly criticized. Millions and millions of views, no doubt. More important to me, is the damage being done to Pennsylvania’s reputation. By it’s own Governor and Administration!

Teresa Bauer is the best. She is one of the biggest assets Gracedale has ever had. I'm glad and not surprised she got this recognition.

Thank you also to the National Guard for all your fine work and compassion to our residents and staff at Gracedale. It was really needed and we all appreciate all of you.

It’s very nice to see a Gracedale worker recognized

The county did asked for volunteer's, I wonder how many county workers actually helped? What they should have done, was have all those individuals that were at home collecting a pay check(not working from home), not everyone was able to work from home. Unfortunately, some individuals (essential workers) that wanted to help( on their own time) were denied, due to where they worked and Their boss saying no.
