Lehigh County's New Voting System - The Movie

Lehigh County Voter Registrar Tim Benyo is now a movie producer. He has prepared a video explaining Lehigh County's new voting system, from start to finish.

What I love about Lehigh County's operation is their decision to use electronic pollbooks. That makes it so much easier for our election workers to find a voter. If a person should be voting somewhere else, the e-pollbook will make that clear, too. I have bugged NorCo County Administrator Charles Dertinger to get these, but he is a cheap bastard and called me the world's most overrated election judge. I complained to Executive Lamont McClure and he called me a third-rate election judge.

Lehigh Couny's voting system itself is designed to ensure that there is little question of voter intent, like those that delay the counts in Florida.

The problem with this system is there will be two separate lines. You will first stand in a line to make your selections. Then you will have to move to a separate line to cast your vote in a scanner. This could be a problem in a busy election. Northampton County election judges who viewed this system disliked this feature and preferred the ExpressVote XL.

been using this system at my polling location for years. The only line is to sign the books. Scanning the ballot takes only a few seconds. Nothing to worry about kids, the sun will come up tomorrow.

Here's where I'm confused. According to the video if you're "under marked" it will return the ballot to you. What if I don't want to vote for some of the people or referendums?

I checked out the sample ballot and LC's website Q&A's. Nada.. hmmm?

Why not a "none of the above"?

Sorry I should have called the number first. I was told you will be given the option to accept the ballot as-is.

Bernie, them too like NC XL machines look like the Russians have bought certificate of occupancys for the small Chinese employees that fill the machines.

Lamont spent the pollbooks money on the 20% he's overpaying for the forensic center. That's more important than dumb elections. But your autopsy is going to be fabulous.

We will be buying machines for every election, we had the best machines and they sold them for scrape metal, just another plan to fleece the taxpayers for years to come.

Love the idea of a video explaining this... my question though is how much did government pay for it? Should not be a big expense. Professional looking videos can be self-produced with phones nowadays.

Democrats wanted electronic voting. So sorry. Should have stayed with the manual voting machines that worked for decades.
