Bethlehem Tp's Trick-or-Treat Scheduled For Halloween This Year
Trick or Treat in Bethlehem Township will be held this year on Saturday, October 31, 2015, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This is a change from past years, when trick or treat was usually held on the Friday before Halloween.

I still get a laugh when I recall how when I moved to PA from NJ years ago, I was really stunned by the fact that in PA the municipalities dictate when the residents are allowed to celebrate a holiday (they have that authority?). In NJ, trick or treat was on Halloween regardless of the night it fell on. You started late in the afternoon and finished when everyone's porch lights went out. The municipality kept their nose out of it.
Then you should by all means move back to jersey. Municipalities schedule these days for the safety of children, and to advise motorists. I should not have to explain this.
@7:13, You are correct. In the 7+ years I worked in NJ, it was commonplace to see daylight trick-or-treaters, regardless of the day of the week. It was always on the 31st.

why the change everyone who lives in township always knew Friday night before Halloween.
There will be confusion
Hence the story.
It will bring more people from outside the Township, because they will now have two nights to grovel for candy.
Heaven forbid!

I was thinking more like Mediterranean Manslab.
Bernie if you go the Mediterranean manslab route, don't forget the part of the costume that represents the physical gifts of the human tripod.
And the bleached anus
