Nazareth Police Seek Information in Rare Saturday Night Shooting

Naseer Gray

Nazareth Police are seeking information concerning a rare Saturday night shooting. At approximately 7 pm, police were called to the 100 block of South Cedar Street, and found Naseer Gray, age 26, with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to St. Luke's Hospital and is currently in intensive care, although his condition is stable.

Anyone who has information concerning this shooting is being asked to call Det. SGT Pompei at 610-759-9575. If you would prefer to remain anonymous, you can call the anonymous tip line at 610-759-3216.

Gray, incidentally, has a criminal history for theft and drugs.

Well, here we go.

That particular house has frightened neighbors for a couple of years. Simply driving by always earned an uncomfortable death stare in an otherwise lovely neighborhood where most people smile and wave at you. I suspect police knew they had a potential problem there.

You must live in a different Nazareth than I. Most people do not smile and wave at drivers. In fact, like most of the LV, residents tend to be somewhat remote to people. The word "auslander" comes to mind. There are many good people, but not until they know you. You have to live in Nazareth about 300 years before you are accepted, lol.

I also have no idea what you are talking about with respect to that "particular house." I do quite a bit of walking through Nazareth when weather permits. I know the trouble spots, if you can call them that. They do not include S Cedar Street.

I'm not going to publish thinly veiled racist guesses.

I'm an auslander and have had a very friendly experience in Nazareth over two decades. The only thing transplants don't get is one of their weird nicknames. The town is full of Easton refugees who are better accepted than you'd think. The churches are wonderful communities, too. I've driven that alley many times and often get hellos and waves. My daughter lives a block away and suspected the house before the address was made known. Neighbors know their neighborhood. I have no idea what race has to do with any of this and shame on those who troll that crap.

His FB page has several pictures where he and others are flashing what appear to be gang signs.

8:57: His Instagram is even worse than his Facebook. In one video post he is reporting back to the Work Release Center as he is flashing a presumed a gang symbol and states, "I'm BCB nigga, I'll never switch...BCB gang. GANG nigga GANG..."

In another post he is posing with his "nigga" and he entitles his post, "FtbcB Family Gang".

Perhaps the police should start by trying to identify the people in his Instagram posts.

I used to work with juveniles like him for over 20 years trying to rehabilitate them. I got burnt out. Nowadays, I'll hashtag him...#Dumbass
