Schlossberg Mum On Ghost Voting

On Christmas Eve, I told you that State Rep Daryl Metcalfe's physically saw Mike Schlossberg do a bit of ghost voting. He cast at least one vote for an absent fellow Democrat in a crucial budget matter. This is a violation of state house rules, and Metcalfe vowed he would take it up with the House Ethics Committee.

Since that time, Schlossberg has failed to address these ghost voting allegations on his State Rep.Facebook page or his Twitter account, despite requests from myself and others that he do so. He has also failed to respond to a message I sent to him concerning this issue.

Fed Ed has taught him well.

But he's had time to update his Political Fails blog, which he uses to hawk his book.

In  fairness, he might be busy right now looking for a ghost job for Lisa Pawlowski. .

This is the guy who bragged, "The City's finances are on stable ground for the first time, really, in decades ... ."

He won't be answering me because he thinks you're stupid. Last summer,he defended raising money against nonexistent opponents and said, "[I]f the average American took as much time to independently research their politicians and candidates for office as they did to watch half of a TV series, we could eliminate corruption and bad politicians overnight."

You have the research. I have even more here, in an article entitled "Schlossberg Has 141,498 Reasons To Be Sick."

But he thinks you're too absorbed in your TV set to want to get rid of him and his corruption.

Schloppsberg is an embarrassment to the citizens he purportedly represents. His face in the photo is the way his constituents feel when they read this carp.

Yet it is you who treats people as stupid. Why else would you continuously not let the people know of his early association with Don Cunningham and Tony Iannelli. Why the mystery?

Cunningham did in fact have him work on his executive campaign. Iannelli did in fact give him Chamber of Commerce job.

So why hide that from people? they helped mold him, so why hide that from people?

Do you think people are too stupid to put things together for themselves? It would appear so?

12:42AM You're hung up in the '60s man. Bozo is dead (though Schlossberg looks like him).

You come here ranting about Cunningham and Ianelli, while stating this is an "early association." WHO CARES? There is no conspiracy here. You're just looking for a reason to criticize Bernie. Is he really supposed to give an entire resume of people in the news?

This is a very troubled individual.

There must be cameras in the state capital where they vote. This camera footage should be available from a right to know request.
This shouldn't be that difficult to verify if Schlissberg did ghost vote.

Bernie O'Hare said...

As I have indicated before, I doubt very much that a camera is trained on every desk. I certainly plan on spending no money without an idea that I will get something for my effort. And are the cameras run by the state or PCN?

Bernie O'Hare said...

Let me add that I have no doubt that Schlossberg was, in fact, caught ghost voting. He's had a number of opportunities to deny he was doing so, and failed to take advantage of them.

Why is he beholding to you? Why should he feel obligated to contact you? You are just a person with an obvious agenda against this man and want to smear him. He owes you nothing. Your blog is not news but merely a forum for your anger and hate. You use it to protect those you like and attack those you dislike.

Can't break the chain until voters in both parties are willing to toss out incumbents. These days, both local and national, your typical choice might win, but YOU still lose.

Switch 'em out!

There is no excuse and plenty of time to find a viable candidate (D or R) to run against Sch"loss" in the next election.

His guilt by association to Paw'low'ski and now this Ghost Voting incident should be enough to oust him back to chamber land...

Anonymous said...

I love his Face Book page. The young man is a real legend.

9:43,

He should not be allowed to hide out at the chamber. Let him go out into the real world where he will be lucky to survive.

The attempted anti-Semitism at 6:41 ia the work of the Blog Mentor, who has hated Schlossberg for refusing to be part of his attempt to smear Donovan several years ago. This is a supposed liberal.

'Ghost Voting' Whats next recording phone calls.

Bernie .. Please don't let this go . Schlossberg's ghost vote may have been the one that raised our taxes exponentially . While ghost voting is not a crime in the legislature it clearly is an affront to the constituents of his district and all the tax payers of Pennsylvania since that bill was such so impactful to their pocketbooks .

Bernie O'Hare said...

It could be a federal crime. He is depriving citizens of their right to honest services and is using electronic communications to carry out that scheme.

To Anon 3:59 .. If your taxes were raised as a result of Schlossbergs ghost vote you would be the first to scream . Schlossberg is a cheat and after looking at his expenses not a protector of our tax dollars . Look at his picture .. Whether your a D or R he definitely is a freak !

The question that really needs to be answered is how many times has Mikey double voted?

Or triple voted?

Or voted three, or four, or five, or six, or seven or GOD knows how many times?

This is not an isolated incident.

Bernie, agree 100% that Schlossberg, if guilty, is in a world of hurt and he should be. But to me, the bigger shame of this whole debacle is this quote:

"If the average American took as much time to independently research their politicians and candidates for office as they did to watch half of a TV series, we could eliminate corruption and bad politicians overnight."

He's 100% right. We do it to ourselves each and every election cycle. We don't show up to vote at all. We re-elect criminals, even convicted ones. We re-elect incompetence time and time again. We straight-pull a party ticket, and thus do no work at all as to who is more qualified to serve in public office. We pay pensions to politicians who are convicted of crimes and are in jail. As I know you have, the expense reports are obscene.

Our federal and state legislatures operate with near impunity.

Until we as a voting public take back control from the nomenklatura, we will get what we deserve.

The Banker

Schlossberg voted YES for the Delta Thermo Energy incinerator that is now being closely investigated by the FBI.

This is the deal that I feel Schlossberg and others almost pulled off with Marcel Groen, the Pennsylvania Democratic State Committee Chair.

$6-million in grants were approved by Schlossberg and Ed Rendell to give to Marcel Groen and his associates. Let's give the FBI a little more time.

I can't believe this clown is the best the Dems can put up for Pat Browne's seat when he retires. Justin Simmons will make mincemeat out of this stooge. Schloss has never had a hard race or day in his life. Wait until he hits the Simmons iceberg.

Metcalfe is a tea party extremist, but I have no evidence whatsoever to suggest he lacks integrity. In fact, the evidence I have is quite the opposite. You are allowing your ideological differences to persuade you that anyone who thinks differently must be morally bankrupt.

Bernie, you do know what a broni is don't you?

It is no surprise to read about all the people involved in this fellows rise through the ranks. All the people mentioned are members of the Lehigh Valley ruling class. They don't do anything of consequence or any real work. They are paid to just be themselves and be cheerleaders.

Working people are pout here just trying to survive and these people have gamed the system to the point of just living the good life on the backs of real working people.

Schlossberg is just a product of his environment and mentors.

He's a PA Democrat. That's the same party of our current AG, who can't practice law because her license is suspended over leaked grand jury testimony and perjury. Schlossberg knows this. H enjoys tremendous party support. He farts in your general direction, Bernie.

I've have heard Schlossberg repeatedly bad mouth Michael Donovan in a very ugly fashion.
I'm quite sure I'm not alone.

I don't believe that Mike Schlossburg has ever held a real job. For goodness sake, he did some kind of social media management (and then wrote a book about it). He is the epitome of those who harvest low hanging fruit.

To hear his council colleagues speak of him (even Pete) it was almost sad the low regard they held.

Let's hope the federal pendulum swings Mike's way and ushers the circling of the drain of his career that feasts on the public dime.

All the anons taking shots, would you please sign your name? If Mike did something wrong, (And he may have, but I don't know personally) there will be consequences for him. There's things I agree with him on, and things I disagree with him on, but he has always dealt honestly with me, especially in asking about veteran's issues. He has a wife and children, and they should be off limits criticism wise. Don't launch unfounded innuendo, put up some proof and sign your name. Until the authorities do their thing, keep the hate to yourselves if you can't sign your name.
Bernie published his story, backed up with other media reports. I'm not happy about it, it reflects badly on a friend, but it is what it is. Mike likely sought professional advice and is following it.

Anonymous said...

C'mon Chris, you're gay right? I mean you want all the anons to come out and it will soften the blow for your friend Mike? Does life change when you come out? How do you now what conversations you had with him are honest? Did he start out the conversation with: Trust Me when I say this? or I swear to God this is true? All's fair in love and war / politics so nobody is off limits and yes he's getting professional advice alright, in more ways than one...

Schlossberg is a serial liar.
Yes, even Peter knows it.
The sooner this parasite is off the public payroll, the better.

Chris Casey said...

I am not an enabler. I am not defending him. He will have to face the consequences for his mistakes. We all do eventually. Does calling him a scumbag make you feel better about yourself? Calling me gay help your self esteem? All it does is prove my point that your attacks are based on hatred rather than facts. I am out in the open taking my shots for what I believe. You can't say that.

Bernie O'Hare said...

" He has a wife and children, and they should be off limits criticism wise. "

Chris, I an assure you I will delete all comments that criticize his wife or children. I don't like anonymous personal attacks, but if someone is an elected official, I feel I have to permit a lot of it.

Chris Casey said...

Bernie, your posts are not the problem, and for the most part I have no problem with allowing anon comments, though some of the stuff the media allows on their comments is. I apologize if it seems I lumped it all together. But I stand by my position that those launching crude anon attacks hurt their own credibility. It is one thing to criticize a persons activities politically because you disagree, another to disparage them with childish name calling. For the record, I think he screwed up, and I am hoping he comes clean. But I understand that just like Mayor Ed, he has probably solicited legal advice telling him to be quiet. It is sad that he is now in a similar boat as Fed Ed.
