MacKenzie: Hey, I just Got My Teeth Bleached

State Rep. Ryan Mackenzie is apparently the sole member of the Lehigh Valley delegation of State Representatives to attend this year's swanky Pennsylvania Society Gala at the Waldorf Astoria. Never mind that Pennsylvania has been able to adopt a budget for the past six months. Never mind the undemocratic message these aristocrats send by dining on oysters in Manhattan, away from the vulgari, instead of doing what they were elected to do.

Although the media has done a remarkably shitty job of taking attendance, I am informed by a state house insider that MacKenzie is the sole House Representative arrogant enough to attend this assemblage of our betters.

Democrats are having great fun with this. Governor Tom Wolf, the millionaire who tries to pretend he's an Everyman, was dishing out bowls of chili.

Locally, State Reps. Mike Schlossberg and Pete Schweyer seved up breakfast to the homeless at Zion's "Liberty Bell" UCC Church.

But last year, Schlossberg thought nothing of spending $1,182 in campaign funds to rent a room at the Waldorf for the Pa Society, along with $250 to rent a tux and $400 for their dinner.

Sate GOP is taking a play from Lehigh County GOP, balancing the budget on a credit card (floating a bond). Wolf was right to reject the buget the GOP presented. It was written on a 30yr note owned by millennials.

Schlossberg will do anything for a free meal...

No higher taxes. Dump the cabinet maker.

MacKenzie is slick - he'll probably try to say he only went to the Society Dinner to support the charity they were supporting. He was at several parties. He only cares about himself.

Worst state legislature in the US. He's a perfect fit. And the tree at Rockefeller Center is so pretty.

Bernie you never had a problem with these gala's when your boys Cunningham and Callahan were regular attendees. They would be there all weekend sucking ass big time.

Anyone who reads me knows I've always had a problem with these events, no matter who is attending. Charlie Dent was at this one, and I am a Dent fan, but am still opposed to these perversions of democracy. You are so filled with hatred for me that you have to attack everything i write. If I say it's raining, you'll want to know who paid me. You have absolutely no creibility left, which is why you can't even sign your name.

Now I see why many despise politicians, both political parties and the people who support these frauds.

Many are pissed about those who attended this gigantic wastes of time and money, but you will all keep voting these criminals back into office and supporting them any way you can, just so the other party does not obtain control. This is not democracy at work. This is a total abuse of democracy. This is another example of what is wrong with the political system.

This country is in deep trouble . Trillions and trillions of unfunded pension liabilities, trillions of debt, world wars, failing public schools, homeless people, starving Americans, Vets need more care than ever before, more people on food stamps, welfare and other govt assistance than ever before, more people out of the work force since the 1970's , who are not being counted in the scam of an unemployment rate, an fake / inflated stock market based on phony money printed by the feds to the tune of 85 billion per month for the last 6-7 years, that is close to bursting, no state budget for 6 months and counting, terrorism on our shores and they are killing our People, but these frauds want to party?

Parties for politicians , on a local , county, state and national level is inappropriate to say the least.

There is very little to celebrate these days, other than family and friends.

No inaugural balls, no state diners, no fancy lunches or breakfasts or anything else that is given for or by the political elite. They are the causes of many of the problems we are faced today. It is not/ was not the man or woman who is working 60 hours a week , putting his/her kids through college , paying the bills and paying his taxes , that keep rising, so they can party, who caused this mess. It is the political hacks who created this mess from both parties. AND THEY WANT TO PARTY ??

THIS IS NOTHING BUT A BIG F U TO ALL, FROM YOUR BELOVED POLITICIANS.

Ryan has done an outstanding job of representing his crosss core of constituents. We all know that gov wolf has been holding up passing the budget trying to raise taxes the way he promised. Ryan, like other republicans and some democrats are not giving in to this megalomaniac. Taking a short break, listening to others helps in the decision making process. I, for one, an glass decisions as important as these are not being made in a vacuum like the governor seems to be doing. Take the time, speak with Ryan. He is an extremely intelligent person, who understands the importance of working across the aisle.

Turd's Eye is responsible for motivating me to vote... Democrat. That's what cheer leading for voter ID and taking away the access of the little guy to vote does. Piece of garbage.

Martin are you kidding me? Mackenzie is in the house tea party don't let him kid you

Martin - Ryan is highly intelligent, no doubt. But he is also all about himself and his "political career." He is the golden boy who, with the help of his daddy and his politician buddies, has been groomed to be the next Charlie Dent (e.g. state rep, then state sen when Browne retires, then congress when Dent retires). MacKenzie will ruthlessly cut anyone down who is seen as a hindrance his political ascension.

Slow news day? The guy went to a dinner on a Saturday night when the House wasn't in session. Seems like much ado about nothing.

Ryan is certainly about himself. The problem with Ryan is nobody likes him at home or in harrisburg. And Browne and Dent aren't going anywhere. Ryan may think he is next in line but those days in republican politics are over. Ryan should get nice and comfortable in his house seat.

It's not a slow news day. Bernie's point is that schools and non profits are shutting down due to harrisburg not enacting a budget and this elitist snob is at this ritzy event that literally every other house member in Pennsylvania declined to attend this year. It looks really bad.

Mackenzie can try to cut out whomever he wants. But I got news for him....he has no shot of moving up. The people he wants to cut out will be blocking him for a very long time. Sorry Ryan

Funny how none of the Mackenzie detractors have the guts enough to sign their names. Cowardice has many names, "anonymous" seems to be thefavorite this time around.

Martin, I agree people should sign their name. But i sign mine.

Bernie, you, as always, are the exception...
