Bushkill Tp Has No Christmas Tree!

I've continued my pilgrimage of Lehigh Valley municipal Christmas trees with stops in Bushkill Township, Upper Nazareth, Forks, Easton, Emmaus, Bethlehem, Upper Mount Bethel and Portland. Believe it or not, Bushkill Township has no municipal Christmas tree. So far, I've hit 14 different municipalities.

Upper Nazareth keeps a small but very festive Christmas tree in its meeting room.

Forks Township has a large Christmas tree in its lobby.

Santa was spotted in Forks Township. Because there is no snow, he's using a wagon instead of a sleigh to collect his presents.

Instead of decorating its circle with a Christmas tree, Easton has used a large Peace Candle for many years. ome love it. Others hate it.

This is the Christmas tree decorating the Emmaus circle. I stopped at the Chinese restaurant across the street for dinner after taking pictures of this beauty, and the kids there told me they thought I was practicing karate.

Bethlehem really is the Christmas City! In addition to the gigantic evergreen decorating Payrow Plaza, large and brightly lit trees decorate the rest of the City. This one is at a pocket park on the 700 block of East Fourth Street. On the South Side, the trees are lit up by different colors as an expression of Bethlehem'd diversity. On the north side, the trees are decorated with white lights, a Moravian tradition i also saw in Nazareth.

This tree, decorating Bangor Park, was sent in by McCormick Grace.

This tree is next to Upper Mount Bethel's fire department. Instead of using lights, Ron Angle donated some of his sludge pellets. They glow in the dark.

This beauty lights up Portland, which we all know is the Cancun of the Lehigh Valley.

If you have pictures of a tree decorating your town, send it in.

Thanks for bringing us the sights of the Season, Bernie. Even with the warm weather, your great pictures give a "Christmas-y" feel.

I just got back from my extended family's 59th Annual Christmas party with the nice warm feeling of having kicked-off the days before Christmas with the wonderful Irish clan I've loved since my very earliest memories.

An early Merry Christmas to you and yours Mr. O'Hare!

Merry Christmas, Jeffrey.

Save the trees. Praising eco-terror is not the answer.

Portland has an anti-eco terror tree. Its a live tree that has lived 60 years in the old coal/train yard of yesteryear.
