Real Cops Snag Real Drug Dealer in Nazareth

For the past few weeks, Nazareth Police Chief Thomas Trachta and his sidekick, part-time Officer Danny Trozell, have been importing crime into Nazareth. Using an informant, they've been luring low-level drug dealers from Easton, Wilson Borough or some other out-of-town location, to the Nazareth Rite-Aid. In the meantime, there's been no focus on drug activity going on by homers.

That changed yesterday when real law enforcement professionals - U.S. Marshalls and Deputy Sheriffs - were executing three bench warrants against Nazareth resident Christopher Delcristo. Deputies smelled burnt marijuana and then found a cache of drugs and guns in the basement. Then a real Nazareth Police Officer, Fred Lahovski, obtained a search warrant and found more.

I imagine Lahovski will be suspended.

In the meantime, Chief Trachta is arranging polygraphs and waterboarding for his investigation into the Chicago Bull Stickers.

Ah, the tried and true "smell of marijuana" probable cause bullshit. This guy had nothing yet it's trumpeted as some huge victory in the "War on Drugs."

Bernie,
watch out this is colluded efforts on the powers that be banking, realators and local officials i there development 101 course studies? Because of the nations drug habit this can be claimed to be ignorance on the officials part, refusing to have non corrupt police do there jobs? This helps to inhibit blight for the eminiant domain takeover?

What out Bernie as your fine estate is in the eyes of team tracta and the cupcake gang on there development list?

This is a drug dealer who actually deals and lives in Nazareth, unlike the guys that Trachta has been importing to meet him at the Rite-Aid. That's what makes it a big deal.

Lots of small pds import crime from the low level guys. High level guys only operate where they are comfortable. Thus the need for a county task force

1/2 oz of weed and a negligible amount of narcotics makes this a "big deal"???

See, this is what is wrong with this country and it's "war on drugs". It's NOT a big deal. It's just a waste of time and money. But the regular joes suck it up (as they down their 6 pack).

Wonder if there is a connection to the check forging, homeless sticker goons?

Just read article on Lehigh valley live. To the best of my knowledge, these deputies never received formal drug training. A good defense lawyer is going to ask to see training certifications on this subject to ascertain how these deputies knew what burnt marijuana smells like. When none is produced, probable cause for warrant goes out the window. May be another lawsuit for Nazareth.

I don't think you need a certificate to know what burnt marijuana smells like.

We can't deal with Nazareth Borough P.D. because of Dan Troxell and Cup Cake. Their constant "let's make a deal without permission from the DA" is too much!
