State Senator Lisa Boscola endoesed NorCo DA John Morganelli in the Attorney General race yesterday. First elected to the State House in 1994, Boscola is currently representing the 18th Senatorial District. Since 2011, she has been Chair of the Senate Democratic Policy Committee.
Boscola states, "John Morganelli is presently Pennsylvania's longest serving district attorney. He is the only candidate with hands on prosecutorial experience personally obtaining convictions in over 20 first degree murder cases involving some of Pennsylvania's most dangerous criminals. John also has been a leader in criminal justice issues that protect Pennsylvanians, and has been in the forefront on issues important to women including establishing a domestic violence unit and hiring women in important positions in law enforcement."
Morganelli replied, "Lisa is an advocate for the regular folks, and has never been afraid to stand up for what is right. Her support is very much valued."
Morganelli also picked up the endorsement of noted Allentown civil rights lawyer Rick Orloski.
Today, Morganelli will participate in an AG debate at the Philadelphia Bar Association. His Democratic opponents, Josh Shapiro and Steve Zappala, will be joined for the first time by Republican John Rafferty. In the first debate at the progressive Summit, the issues of political corruption and Kathleen Kane were nearly buried. My guess is that Rafferty will hold them all accountable.

I'll drink to that, Lisa.
more dem inbreeding. bobby must be waiting for his puppet strings to be pulled
Like Kane, Morganelli is opposed to marijuana legalization because it serves as a "gateway drug".
I am a Democrat who opposes Morganelli because of his asinine and antiquated views of the drug war.
I will vote against Boscola too because of the ridiculous medical marijunana bill being passed around Harrisburg. They are so out of touch,
Nothing like a one-issue voter. That is what truly is asinine and antiquated, and is evidence of a closed mind.
A local Democrat receiving the endorsement of other local Democrats really isn't that newsworthy. Of course most Lehigh Valley Democratic politicians will support Morganelli. Just like most Pittsburgh Democratic politicians will support Zapella. It would be newsworthy if Morganelli were endorsed by a Democratic politician from Montgomery or Allegheny counties.
Then you don't have to publish this story in your newspaper.
Bernie,
These assholes should just stick to the circus advertismental arena agenda¿!)$ Let the big boyZ pander about the reel on the local issues¿!)$

But there are lots of issues these two share with other candidates. It's not like this is the only issue but it is an important deciding issue. It speaks volumes about their ability to think of new law enforcement ideas and to address mass incarceration. Morganelli must be tone deaf as he wants to escalate the drug war big time.
Stephen Zappala on the other hand is open minded. My vote is most definitely with Zappala.
Both Pittsburgh Police Chief Cameron McLay and Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen A. Zappala Jr. are in favor of a measure that would reduce the penalty for simple possession of marijuana in the city, which speaks volumes about how logical it is.
As soon as the Harrisburg Scum and their Families get their hands on the money from weed, it will pass.
Get a .BAC on her.......She is a known drunk
Attacking people for having an alcohol abuse history here?
Compared to the sociopath freakshow in Allentown?
hmm, would this be the same Boscola who happens to have a husband who was given a job in the city of Bethlehem? yes , she is all for the little guy , as long as she benefits financially and politically. people like her, Browne and the other career politicians destroyed this once great state . wow, after thinking about it, we are being represented by people with serious issues, yet they make laws / rules that effect every single one of our families. the list of politicians who not only had runs in with the law, and or are being owned and operated by unions and other special interest groups is amazing. and people think Scranton is corrupt.
Love the moral indignation of someone too cowardly to sign his name.
Morganelli will finish a distint third. He's arrogant and has always been for himself.
After her endorsment, maybe her and John could work on property tax relief since her election will be coming up, Then she forget about it the day after election if she get elected. Why change been like this for years.
If you want property tax reform, get the Repubs in Harrisburg on board with Gov Wold. As in Washington, they are obstructionists even if the policy will help people.
