UPDATED: Former Fed Assisting Allentown Has Resigned

Robert Goldman, a distinguished former Ass't US Attorney, was retained by Allentown to help city officials in providing information sought in a federal probe. But according to Solicitor Susan Wild, Goldman has resigned. I believe it may be in response to ethical concerns first raised by this blog. He has reportedly been replaced by Allentown Attorney Gavin.

I should point out that Solicitor Wild responded almost immediately, something both refreshing and unexpected in Allentown.

Nothing is accurate until the Morning Call is forced to report it 3 weeks from now!
Even then, beware the spin.

@12:29PM You're just jealous. You're either the Lehigh Valley Nobody, Mezzacappa, or the shit man - all pretty much worthless. Meanwhile, O'Hare is breaking all kinds of news. Have a pitiful day!

Gavin has always stuck me like an honest and thoughtful guy. Can't see much coming from his appointment other than a timely submission of information.

Wild is earning last penny she is making.
She must really need steady day work.

Don't worry about the $$$$$ people.
The sale of your water will cover it the legal costs.

The big question is WHY did he take the job in the first place, if he was involved with pending litigation against Allentown?

@4:05 PM - The "windfall" $5 million that the Mayor and City Council spent in a spending-spree was money to cover emergencies.

The Mayor and Council spent that water/sewer money last year on things unrelated to water/sewer.
