Before the gerrymandering reform forum at Bethlehem's Unitarian Universalist Church, there were 21 cosponsors for State Rep. Daveparker's bill to slay the gerrymander. There are now 25, with all the new cosponsors coming from the Lehigh Valley. The latest State Rep to add his name is Pete Schweyer.
Locally, the state representatives who have failed to endorse redistricting reform are Marcia Hahn, Joe Emrick, Julie Harhart, Ryan Mackenzie and Gary Day.
Julie Harhart is poised to retire and is still unwilling to buck the establishment.

Does Mike Turzai support it?
If he does, perhaps it stands a chance. If he doesn't it will die in committee. And that doesn't even take the Senate into consideration.
Naysayers Hahn, Emrick, etc, are all dirt bags.
Do they have any response as to why not?

As has been said before, those who do not support this, including Turzai, need to be targeted.
The Chairman of the State Government Committee, where SB484 currently sits, Senator Mike Folmer, was contacted and his office responded, in part, "Senator Folmer has long been interested in redistricting reform; it's one of the many reasons why he wanted to chair the Senate State Government Committee. For this reason, Senator Folmer looks forward to beginning the public discussion on this important issue."
All members of this committee have also been urged to support this legislation. Keep the pressure on the committee as well as your local legislators.
I emailed Marsha Hahn yesterday morning asking her opinion of HB 1835 and whether or not she supported it. No response as of yet.

Thanks, Scott.
FWIW - Still nothing....
