If an Employee Tests Positive - CDC guidelines would be followed and information relative to infected employee would remain confidential. The facility would be disinfected as necessary per CDC Guidelines
Mandation. - Year to Date, the county has mandated 19 times, with 4 in March.

I went to a store a week ago, and the very young checker - the only lane open - was petrified. I tried to chat with her and be pleasant, and her replies were short and inaudible. She was trembling. Imagine going to work for what, $10 an hour, and being that scared. I understand her fear, but I would quit. Maybe her pay goes to help her family or something and she has no choice. I felt really bad for her. I thank all the checkers I see in stores - they are in fact very brave, as is anyone dealing with the public. Of course, I feel that way all the time to a lesser extent - people suck.
Please write the judge and ask that Mayor Pawlowski be given a health discharge from prison. It was recently denied but a help campaign is encouraged to sway the Judge. The Mayor has pre-existing condition and should be allowed to be on house arrest for now.
Thank you for the update. There is no way to adequately socially distance and/or truly clean a work station at 911. You can try, but you need to log in and get busy. If you call for a supervisor, they need to come over to your computer and see what is going on and stand right next to you, maybe even touch your keyboard and mouse to help you, and do all these things urgently. *Bam* - it will pass through like wildfire once it gets in the door. And it will go through multiple shifts, due to the way shifts change in and out. Each emergency and nonemergency call now takes longer to process, with every call (medical or not) now requiring COVID questions to be asked. There are extra cleaning and supervision tasks, all falling on the supervisors, and we are down several of them. No one wants that job, it does not pay enough, and administration just throws all the extra cleaning and supervision tasks right onto them. Housing a minimum staff of 10 per shift at any backup location would tax resources and staffing and everyone is exhausted and stressed as it is. Think of this, if you will - all the stores where necessities are sold are now operating on very limited schedules, all kinds of restrictions for operation. Try to get what you need with people hoarding when you live alone and work shift work. Then try to have time to prepare said limited food to be able to take what you need into work, get adequate sleep, commute, and work 12-hour shifts...and stay healthy.
If 911 can do remote meetings, shouldn’t County Council be able to?
Pawloski did lots of hard work to get a 15 year sentence, earned every minute of it and should be allowed to serve the full term his with honor and dignity.

Regarding the Mayor... his crime does not fit the time! As a federal taxpayer, I object to having to pay nearly $1.5 million over 15 years to incarcerate him. Five years would have been appropriate with two thirds served with good behavior. It not like the Mayor was pocketing money and taking vacations, living in a mansion, paying for kids college tuition. He used the nominal amount of money for his campaign. While wrong, not deserving of 15 years!
This is a clear example of why you need to cut a deal with the feds as soon as you can. The federal system is a machine that shows little mercy if you exercise your rights to a trial by jury of your peers. You will most likely get convicted and the sentencing book is thrown at you like a hard brick. There is something wrong with the system.
The “something” wrong with the system didn’t just happen over the past couple years. Important to remember.

One of the complaints is that workers there are not temp-checked before they start. I started thinking - isn't this something you can and should do yourself? If your temp is up, you could and should report off. I understand you are afraid, and Covid-19 is ten times more deadly than the flu according to Dr. Anthony Fauci. I question whether he would still say that today. In the US, the death rate is currently 1.9%, but that is based on those known to have had it. The actual death rate should be lower bc 25-50% of those who contract Covid-19 never know they had it. There really is insufficient data, and I would argue the mortality rate is actually lower. It is still much higher than the flu and because so many people contract it without ever knowing it, it is far more contagious. I do think it is something you need to be concerned about, but honestly think much of the fear is hysteria and overblown. I am much more concerned about kids not getting enough to eat bc their parents are unable to work.
Even though I consider these fears overblown and that Governor Wolf has created many of the shortages you see AND is responsible for hurting many people by shutting down the state economy with no advance preparation, I am speaking from my perspective, not yours. I appreciate what you are doing and recognize you are on the front lines. You do deserve recognition, as do prison guards and Gracedale workers.

If an employee is confirmed to have COVID-19 infection, employers should inform fellow employees of their possible exposure to COVID-19 in the workplace but maintain confidentiality as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The fellow employees should then self-monitor for symptoms (i.e., fever, cough, or shortness of breath).

You need to learn how to read. In my post, I specifically mentioned "first responders," and last time I checked, that includes police officers. I do not include criminal defendant Tricia Mezzacappa in the category of "LEO<" though she sees herself as such. She is currently facing charges of lying to first responders, and neglected to mention this.

In the meantime, Wolf has done nothing to help people seriously impacted by his decision to shut down the entire economy. At a time when people need to apply for benefits, the state's compass and unemployment site keeps crashing. Yet he lays people off and has unevenly handed out waivers. We have no real leaders.

According to the label on my last Clorox wipes here at home, they need to be wet on surface for 4 minutes to kill a virus. I can tell you that will never happen except with the last wipe in the container that’s saturated! All this wiping and sanitizing are merely “feel good” measures. Wipe your hands and hope for the best! Average Joes can no longer find sanitizer, wipes, alcohol, and have to stay home and wash their hands and hope for the best.
1:34 - You are correct! Thorough hand washing with plain soap after any expected exposure is just as good. Something else to keep in mind. The arrival of warmer weather (the temperature only part) is not enough to kill this Panic Virus. Temperature would need to rise to, at least, 150 degrees!
SUNSHINE is the virus killer. It’s the ULTRA-VIOLET RAYS put out by Sun exposure that count. Make every effort to be outside on SUNNY days.

I'm sick and tired of hearing 9-1-1 personnel complaining about their jobs. The only way one can get a job in NORCO 9-1-1 is to be fire department goober with connections or to wear knee pads. You take the job when you already know it sucks. You know the pay also sucks. Then after you get in you constantly complain about the job just like school teachers. If you are so unhappy then just quit and don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. You cannot be too bad off as sometimes one can hear dispatchers laughing in the background during communications.
If you don't want to dispatch maybe you can go to NYC and get a job as a washroom attendant.
And it you cannot find the proper food then eat canned Beefaroni like the rest of us who have lost our jobs. Get real.

January 19 date, the World Health Organization and others working with the “country of origin” was reporting there is NO evidence to show person-to-person transmission of this infection. The first evidence of Covid-19 was found on January 20. The mitigation process here began just a few days later, including stopping air travel to/from that “country of origin.” A decisive and radical decision, quickly labeled as racist. No surprise there.

Some states are better situated than others. I don't know when PA got its supply.
The test is whether all who need a ventilator will have one, and we're not quite yet to the point where that will become clear.
It's already quite clear that medical personnel don't have the PPE that they need, not to mention law enforcement and others who have no choice but to deal with the public.
It's already a disaster, well on its way to being a tragedy.

I guess Trump was responsible for all of Europe misreading the virus too.
I know liberals were confident Germany was much smarter than the US a couple of weeks ago. Looks like things are getting rough over there too.
Can you point to a country besides S. Korea that has handled this well?

I might "like China", but don't know enough about what they've done to make a judgment, in part because it's hard to say whether their numbers are reliable.
I did see a picture today of a security guard in front of a store there, and he was wearing better PPE than do most of our ER people. Not a garbage bag in sight.
Maybe if the POTUS could have closed the borders there would be less criminals running around in the tristate area passing the panic virus to one another. Now we need to close the state line borders but the sufferers from TDS in Congress would put up some sort of diversion that the panic virus has become a racist and everyone should partake in the drink of death.

Appears that Social Security will be solvent until 2070 will be one of the aftermaths of this pandemic. Congress will not have to kick the can down the road. Listening to cable news I agree with one of the comments above. The Trump virus is affecting Liberals more than Conservatives.
It looks like the red states will get hit soon enough, unfortunately. Then those governors can explain to their people why they were so unresponsive.

Governments' stupid actions are just a reflection of some of the stupid people we have in our neighborhoods. Today's The Morning Call has a picture of some very dumb women taking a walk in their face masks and practically on top of each other. What part of social distancing and stay home can't people get? Do parks need to have their slides dug up out of their concrete mooring so parents don't let their kids on slides. The government isn't doing enough? Cut me a break all you selfish people out there. Go hoard some more toilet paper. Stay home!
