Susan Wild, Now Is Not The Time To Ask For Money

Lisa Scheller
Three candidates are running for Congress in Pa.'s 7th District - Republicans Dean Browning, Lisa Scheller and Democrat Susan Wild.  Let me tell you what they're doing.

Dean Browning is holed up in his underground lair somewhere with Dr. Evil, complaining about his "captivity" and praising Donald Trump. If you have trouble sleeping, tune into his weekly Facebook presentations. It's ten times better than Ambien.

What about Wild? believe it or not, this supposed Democrat and champion of the underclass is dunning people for money. Her campaign is running ads on Facebook claiming she needs money because it's the end of the month. Yeah, Susan, that's when most people have to pay something called rent. Perhaps you've heard of it. She is insulting 1.65 million Pennsylvanians  who are seeking unemployment benefits. Many are being ignored and are having trouble putting food on the table.

The third hopeful is Lisa Scheller. She and her friends are busy collecting and donating food for people in need, like the over 1 million people screwed over by Governor Tom Wolf. "We need to come together as a community, be united, be optimistic, and united, we will defeat Covid-19."

Which of these three sounds like she belongs in Congress?

Well then, no one needs to guess who you are supporting. I guess the old Morganelli congress race grudge still burns hot in you.

Mezzacrazy tea bags Dean Browning?

Bernie--why do the majority of the blue states need to be baled out?

Anonymous said...

6:26 am because blue states send more taxes to Wash DC and get far less back because our blue state taxes are used by Republicans to fund the pork that goes to red states. Get it? It's called math.

Now that useless Governor Wolf has provided an opportunity to focus on our specific problem, there is only one practical solution.

Speak out against every Incumbent politician living in Pennsylvania. State and Local. Doesn’t matter what political party. Just call out every elected official. Condemn them for their actions, and LACK of actions.

Best outcome is to vote them out. No Incumbent Democrat or Republican, who goes along with this incompetent State leadership, must be criticized and removed. Especially those who remain quiet and sit idly by.

There is no excuse for any politician who abets this craziness in silence. Reject them at all levels of elected office.

6:33 post correction.

Should read, “EVERY incumbent Democrat or Republican, who goes along with this incompetent State leadership, must be criticized and removed.”

Anonymous said...

Wild is just another vote for Nancy Pelosi, I dont believe we have seen any original objective thought from her.

Anonymous said...

Come on people, be fair!
Our State needs financial help, otherwise taxes going up!
Please vote for engaged politicians, rather than politicians who complain about the opposite party!
The blame politician runs from the WH, spewing hate and offers little
He may think he’s good at business, but he’s lousy at leading a troubled country!
We have had other poor presidents through a crisis! The Depression had a poor leader in Herbert Hoover!

I already voted for Scheller. Wild is an out-of-town-money cocktail circuit girl who hasn't a clue about her district. She does exactly as instructed by Nancy Pelosi, with her $24,000 sub-zero freezer filled with gourmet treats. Sue will get plenty of California money from Nancy and the beautiful people out there. Their voting records are remarkable carbon copies.

Scheller reminds of Ritter and McHale, who had different politics, but were real people and true Lehigh Valley representatives. Wild should run for office in California - where her donors are.

Anonymous said...

Susan Wild is absolutely an under-performer, a staunch political stooge who does not deserve another term.

Anonymous said...

Lisa S. is pa people finally smarten unless you are an idiot like 6:29

The ex recovering Drug addict gets my vote

Turning out weak and compliant politicians when your family and future is being destroyed is the best course of action. Put aside your political party preference and start getting different people into office. What’s to lose?

We can’t just wait for the spineless, weak politicians to resign on their own. Luckily, we’ve seen placeholders like that in the Lehigh Valley resign, but many others remain in place. They need a little ‘nudge’ toward the door.

Anonymous said...

To the handlers of Susan Wild, please prepare a statement for “her.” She can list what specific steps she is doing to open our national economy back up, before our children’s future becomes even more bleak.

Anonymous said...

Wild is probably one of the worse representatives we had to represent our district. She will NOT get my vote and i hopefully she gets destroyed and thrown out of office as fast as possible. She should have never gotten elected in the first place so time to make the correction and put someone in who is going to represent the people in the district and not an ass kisser to the pig pelosi.

Anonymous said...

Bernie, you never liked Wild in the first place.

More of the same.

Anonymous said...

Wow, such a scoop: an incumbent who's trying to raise money for the upcoming election. If people don't want to give, nothing says they have to.

Is it your impression that the Republicans aren't raising money? Get real.

Anonymous said...

I will be voting for Dean Browning. Lisa opposed President Trump's tariffs on China and her business, Silberline Manufacturing, has a troubling record of outsourcing manufacturing jobs and intellectual property to China.

Anonymous said...

I bet you you're just a Rep. who never considered voting for Wild. That's OK, but admit it.

I deleted a number of comments having NOTHING to do with my post. This has nothing to do with state bailouts or Trump or ideology. It is about an insurance defense lawyer who dedicated her career to hosing the little guy now trying to pretend to be one of them. She is so out-of-touch she thinks now is a good time to hit everyone up for money. It disgusts me that a person like this represents the Democratic party. Opportunistic Dean Browning has run for more offices than Rick Orloski. Rick did it as a placeholder, but Browning has deluded himself he can win. He has compromised his values in pursuit of elective office. The one candidate who should be out of touch is Lisa Scheller bc she's loaded, yet she seems to be the only one who gets it.

Anonymous said...

Trump's tariff threats (they were just threats; most never enacted or quickly rolled back) were disastrous. They were one of the worst unforced errors of presidency. Dean thought they were a good idea because Dean thought increasing Lehigh County taxes was a good idea.

Perhaps Wild can get some cash from the residue of the Pawlowski PAC?
Sheller has concept for working people.
This is known because she has freely expressed her contempt in front of household staff and service people who she sees as invisible peons.
Wild does the 1%s bidding.
Schiller is the 1%.

"The additional #PPP funding the House passed on Thursday is encouraging, but well overdue. Millions have lost jobs while the Far-Left gallivanted about in their ivory towers."
"AOC has it wrong. First she celebrated the loss of millions of oil & gas industry jobs and NOW she is saying Americans shouldn’t go back to work.
The Far-Left has to be stopped." from guess who's facebook. Sounds like another Trumpkin hack.
Granted April 7 seems like a lifetime ago, but she does ask for campaign funds to add to the 550K she has already collected (half of what she put in, must have gotten it out of some ivory tower).
Read Wild's Facebook, looks to me like she is trying her best to help people out, even if she is a cooperate dem. I haven't seen a Repub in PA since Dent fled that I would vote for.

Anonymous said...

When Palosi says jump Wild says how high.
A consummate backbench hack.
Shillar must be bored or she would just buy a Congressperson.
Two pathetic options here.

Anonymous said...

Wilds FB page is a series of canned party line pap
posts. The suburban upscale Dem partisans love it.
It’s a chat room for the Hillary crowd and the aging WDIY gray ponytail crew.
This is the lawyer simply desperate to work for Ed Pawlowski!
Working class Democrats not welcome.
Schlossberg and Jennings just dawn over Wild.
Enough said.

Oh come on, Bernie, be honest. You’ve been anti Susan Wild from the get go. Of course she’s raising money as they all are. I plan to share part of my stimulus check with her. She’s been a refreshing change.

Bernie O'Hare said...

Helene, I'm being honest. I think it's totally classless for any politician to dun people for money at this time. If Wild had any sensitivity to the reality that many of the people she represents are having problems feeding their families, she'd stop. But she's an elitist who is out-of-touch with those she is supposed to be serving, not dunning.

At least have the class to wait until we are back to work.

I see no Facebook solicitations from Dean or Lisa, only Susan. It's crass.

Bernie O'Hare said...

Jeff, I have served notice I am deleting comments about a state bailout, which have nothing to do with this story. That is why you are deleted.

This left wing blog is a total lie-this guy deletes any thing he does not like--too bad we can't delete him.

Don't donate your free money to Susan. Give it directly to Planned Parenthood if you want the most direct route to offing black babies and making a few bucks on the sale of their tender remains. Wild is a bought and paid for ghoul. Dean's the moron you described. I'm with Lisa.

Anonymous said...

A few quick points.
During this covid-19 pandemic, this blog is certainly no "left wing blog". More like the OAN network.

Additionally, Lisa S. is very wealthy. She can ride out this pandemic with her own cash if necessary. Dean B,. is a perennial runner loser and is not relevant. So of course Susan W. will try and raise money from those who can afford it. You know that but have a grudge against her since she beat your guy.

Finally, as to jumping to Pelosi's commands. The last thing we need in Congress today is another Trump lapdog. The republicans have sold their souls for Trumpy's solid 33% of the rabid mob. They serve no real purpose as a separate branch pf government other than to praise Caesar. That is why so many of the principled republicans left.

I was responding to another comment which has not been deleted and does not relate to the story either. The anonymous commenter encourages folks to "vote for engaged politicians, rather than politicians who complain about the opposite party!". They then proceed to complain about the opposite party. My comment was directly related to this comment and this comment remains. However, it is your blog. So be it.

As a registered independent, I was leaning towards Lisa, but after further review, I discovered her company does a lot of outsourcing to China. Wilde, has zero integrity, lied to Morganelli in the primary, is a Pelosi puppet, and totally out of touch with the LV. Unfortunately, I have till November to figure this out.

Pelosi puppet vs. Trump puppet, tough call.

And would Lisa want such a generous spirit as yours on her side, hmmm?

Susan Wild will be back home here for at least another week. She, by order of her House of Representatives resistance leaders have announced they will not return to Washington on Monday as originally scheduled. How nice!

Apparently, our House Members have declared themselves as Non-Essential employees. We already knew that, Susan Wild !

She'll get another term. After all, the GOP has Dr. Disenfectant at the head of the ticket.

If Susan Wild would happen to host a town hall next week, without pre-screened questions, I’ll be there to ask if she sees comparisons between today’s situation and the Cloward-Piven Strategy.

I wonder if she'll run on Creepy Joe's plan to have more "economic intercourse."

I suspect that Rep. Wild will be in office for many terms.

Get used to disappointment.

Anonymous said...

Bernie himself that he would work against Wild as much as possible.
This was after he took molehill stories about Wild and raised them to mountain size by slanting the story.
Politicians on both sides are pandering for money, it is crass so Bernie has a point yet most people remember Bernie's attack on Wild in the past.

who ever votes for Wild is crazy--Wild is a Pelosi VOTE on any issue--Pelosi is the worse speaker in our history

I'm wild for Wild. Good tom know she supports her party's leader in the House. That's why we sent her there.

your wild for Wild--more taxes. more babies being killed, sanctuary cities, no border, green new deal, etc etc yes you are wild

Ovem Lupo Commitere said...

Many of these comments are almost comical in their rabidness, and half sound like they're from the same person. I don't think it honestly matters who is representing either of the parties down ballot; most people are going to be voting for or against Trumpism.

Wasn't Sheller the ring leader of the DEFORM Team that wanted to TAKE AWAY Meals on Wheels Funding Away from Seniors?

Anonymous said...

"She's part of what she and Ott would call a "reform" movement. I think a more appropriate word is "deform." One brick at a time, this group is intent on ripping government apart, because it's evil." Maybe she's had a change of heart since this Ramblings post in 2013.

After months of getting e-mail donation requests from Congresswoman Wild I did not get any yesterday or today(Wednesday) What a coincidence !

Chris Casey said...

I will vote for Wild. I can see pass all the B.S and rhetoric and look at the overall picture. Scheller's only running because Woodman, (Her spouse) likely talked her into it. Browning is a good man whose politics and positions I don't align with. We do need more women in government, and we have elections to give those with differing ideas and opinions a chance. Vote for whoever you like, but vote, or don't bitch when you get stuck with another idiot like Trump

Anonymous said...

Bernie, I have now commented twice with definitive proof of Lisa raising money during this time, too. Once in a tweet and once in a direct email solicitation. Why won't you publish the comments? It's true and you know it -- you should publish my comments showing Lisa is raising money too, or amend your original post to admit that Susan Wild isn't alone in raising money.

Anonymous said...

Here is a solicitation from Scheller on Twitter asking people to buy campaign gear: https://twitter.com/SchellerforPA/status/1255530810071023617?s=20

Bernie O'Hare said...

I deleted no comments with "definitive proof." Sometimes these comments go into spam. I have no control over that.

4,22. Big difference between selling and dunning. Wild should be helping her constituents, not taking their money. The same is true of Trump. He is dunning people, too. They both should be ashamed.

Anonymous said...

Still, Bernie, you refuse to acknowledge that Lisa is doing the same thing Susan Wild is doing. Selling, dunning -- whatever you call it, they're both doing it. It's politics, get over it. Lisa has sent emails to her list serv soliciting campaign contributions, and she is tweeting asking for people to contribute by buying campaign gear.

Susan Wild is broadcasting live town halls via Facebook, traveling to DC to vote when necessary, keeping the public informed about developments in Washington, and coordinating with state officials each and every day. You just can't say she isn't helping her constituents -- it's not true. Period.

They're both doing the same thing but you're holding them to different standards and incorrectly asserting that Susan Wild is prioritizing campaign fundraising over aiding her constituents.

Bernie O'Hare said...

I stand by what I wrote. Susan Wild, in particular, is an aggressive fundraiser who stops at nothing, even massive unemployment. Neither does Trump. I have not seen these tendencies in Browning or Scheller. No candidate should be dunning anyone for money right now. It is tacky.
