NorCo Workhorse Scott Parsons to Seek Second Council Term

The Northampton County Workhorse
He's a Democrat in a Republican district. Two Republicans have already announced they intend to take it from him. But they never ran into a workhorse before. Scott Parsons, whose unprecedented 97% attendance rating makes him the Northampton County Workhorse, announced last night that he's seeking re-election.

A blue collar quarry worker, Parsons has much more in common with Slate Belt and northern tier residents than his Republican opponents. In addition to his work ethic, he has been a moderating influence on the partisans that have divided Council.

He put it quite simply. "My commitment to the people of District 4 and Northampton County is something I take seriously, as my record shows."

What he does not mention so much is his commitment to youth sports. Like me, he is an athletic supporter. He has even brought student athletes to Council meetings to give them commendations for their often-overlooked successes.

Scott's campaign headquarters are at Detzi's Tavern. I've been barred again, but it's only a 60-day suspension.

The troll making this comment is Henry Schaadt, who is a rather disgusting person.

Scott Parsons has done a good job so far. At least he shows up for work. Has my vote. Please people vote in people who can turn the tide at NC.

Kids from Pen Argyl do not know the word quit. You will never out work Scott and I defy you not to laugh when he tells his stories. One of the best things the Slate Belt ever did was put him to work at county council. A conservative Democrat and an advocate of the people.

John Brown would do well to sit down with Scott and listen to what he has to say. But then again..JB talks to no one except his peeps.

He has gotten WHAT? for his district? The silence.......... NOTHING. Just because he doesn't work and has time to hang out at the Courthouse doesn't make him a good councilman. Lets see what projects he has done and what county money he brought north....
Angle did show up AND brought home the bacon....and wasn't in a bar if wasn't at the Courthouse-

Get away from the R & D thing. he represents us ALL! And yes, I commend him for his attendance but I would like to see the results of his efforts back here period.

Don't vote for blog snitches.

I have to laugh at these comments about "blog snitches." Bernie has a remarkable ability to find out info before anybody else does. He doesn't need Angle, Mark, Parsons, etc. If he likes you, it doesn't mean your're a snitch or he has a "mancrush." He does his homework- and most, but not all of the time his story is right- but then again, he's human. He keeps us informed of what's going on.
