Jill Mancini was just awarded $94,000 in lost wages on Friday. According to a federal jury, her civil rights were violated when incoming Northampton County Solicitor Vic Scomillio fired her as an Assistant just two days before Christmas. Rather than letting her know in person, he did it over the phone, from his car. I thought that was tacky, especially from a judicial candidate. But Mancini is pretty tacky herself. She proved that last night.
She and Karl Longenbach (her boyfriend and former boss) dropped in at Detzi's Tavern in Wind Gap to celebrate. Naturally, they bumped into Scott Parsons, a Detzi's regular. The three of them ponied up to the bar.
While they dined, Mancini ripped into Brown and Scomillio. She's become bitter.
When their $67 bill came, they paid it. Then they left. Though Mancini was just awarded $94,000, neither she nor Longenbach could be bothered to tip the person who served them.
Maybe they forgot.
12:45 pm Explanation From Barfly: I have received a telephone call from someone who claims he was at the Tavern last night and knows what happened. I'll call him Barfly. He claims that the tab was picked up by a third party, sitting at one of the tables. Longenbach and Mancini left no tip, but the Good Samaritan left money for a tip and paid for their meal and drinks as well.

Barney Rubble stop snitching
Two highly educated lawyers forget to tip? Unlikely. Not only are Karl and Jill lovebirds, it would appear as though they are cheapskates.
Surely on of them had to be DUI
one
What happened to Parsons? Did he not leave a tip either? That would be disappointing.
So far as i know, nobody complained about Parsons.
Parson's is a snitch. Given the support Karl gave him he could have left that tip.
Not nice Scotty.
kl - it's not what you know, it's who you..............
Longenbach, Mancini, Parsons- the 3 stooges
To bad Parsons instead of paying his bills......spends it in that greasy dump...
Oh maybe free legal advise for another failed business of his
Scott has his issues, but he's doing a hell of alot better than Angle ever did. And surprisingly he has the highest attendence record, ever. The closest to 100% ever.
Scott I for one don't care if you drink, keep up the good work!
Generally... lawyers, doctors and accountants are the worse. Saw this while bartending for many years back in the day. They actually fret over tipping for some reason or another. They truly believe that it is the server's job and he or she deserves their base pay and that's it. Social elitism at its best with these people. Business owners and blue collar workers are the best and understand how a server is paid and don't look down at them. Not shocked by this piece of news.
Jill has terrible taste in men!
Just shows the caliber of people running Northampton County.
If Parsons gets legal advice from these two, its no wonder he's been a failure in the business world. But to his credit, his attendance record is the best on council.
Yeah Bernie, She, Longenbach her boyfriend and her former boss????The four of them all together???Wasn't Karl jealous of the boyfriend???How about her former boss????Was he/she there with their significant other??? AND I have to agree with 12:06AM......Parsons could have left a tip and then notified Longenbach about the oversight. Big ado about nothing. Shame on Parsons. On the other hand...maybe the service sucked???and didn't deserve a tip?????
1) Longenbach is her boyfriend and former boss.
2) From what I know, Parsons had nothing to do with their bill or tip. He works in a quarry, and is unaccustomed to getting $94,000 verdicts.
3) From what I've been told, Mancini and Longenbach's server complained that he had been stiffed.
4) It is possible they forgot. Now they know.

Actually,a survey finds that the worst tippers are people aged between 18 and 34. Thirty per cent of them leave tips under 15%.
People should tip 20%.

This is nearly as sad as when LeSean McCoy left an 20 cents tip at a Philly restaurant. Besides the $94 K judgement (which Mancini has likely not received a dime) both are certainly capable of leaving even a modest tip if service was unacceptable. Knowing Lutzi's it is hard to imagine service being THAT poor. Perhaps Jill was too bombed, was told to leave a tip and forgot. Regardless, they should make things right with the server. They could on tips for their livelihood.
That is correct. These servers count on that money to pay their bills. Ironically, Longenbach has called Angle a predator. But he fails to leave a tip.

I don't know that Parsons even knew about the lapse by Longenbach and Mancini. I do know he's running for re-election, and assholes like you will trade on the mistakes of others to make him look bad. You'd do better to look at Brown's mistakes.
Tacky to forget; even tackier to do it on purpose. And dumb, either way. You've been in the news and this is the Internet age.
Parsons is doing a hell of a good job on Council, when compared with some of his colleagues.
I asked if he was involved in not leaving a tip, because that does not sound like him. My guess is that he was not - but it is a natural question when you say three people were in a group, and then say two of them didn't leave a tip. Did Scottie get beamed up or something?
He was next to them, but was not part of their 2-person party.
Well, someone at Detzi's ratted to you about these customers. Not good for their business. Those two will not dine there again if they feel you have a spy there. If true, what they did was cheap and classless. But they should be entitled to their privacy and not have advertised how much or how little they tipped. You are really bottom-feeding with this "story", Bernie.
It's what I do. Thank you.
I think your cub reporter Mark C. should get his facts straight before he calls you
I do not dime out my sources.
Vox ignoramus populi
Most people lead quiet lives of desparation and seek to avoid any spot light on themselves. They shift attention from their vacuous lives to watching reality TV and the Kardashians. Envy, hypocrisy, stupidly, jealousy reign suppreme as born out the the series of comment which have appreared. You really arent worthy of an explanation regarding whatever happen since it is frankly none of your business. Ironically most you critics are probably less than 15% tippers. The joys and madness of parochial countly politics and government.
Yeah barflies are the best witnesses.
If someone picked up their tab, they should have left a huge tip since they were so far ahead. Cheap fux. And what's with Parsons holding up their bar every night? I like him but I hope he has a ride. I like to drink, sometimes a lot. But I do so at home most nights and never drive after imbibing - never.
