But as I soon learned, what Woodman says and what he does are two different things. Right after a conversation claiming he was Switzerland, Woodman began circulating petitions on behalf of the Gang of Four. He obtained signatures for Vic Mazziotti, David Najarian, Scott Ott and Lisa Scheller. Since there are only four seats up for grabs, this was an implied endorsement, especially among the rank-and-file Republicans whose signatures were solicited.
Now he's got a sign endorsing the Gang of Four in the front yard of his home on Benner Street. This is yet another indication, and a very public one, that the party boss has made his choice in spite of all his protests to the contrary.

This is one of the crumiest yard signs of all time. Unless you have a magnifying glass there is no indication of what these characters are running for. Plus
real snazzy 4 color printing makes
this one expensive sign. Keep up
the work gang! So much for the
political expertise of ED Ott.

Are you saying that Scheller shouldn't be allowed to post her own campaign signs at her own house?
Yes the sign is a disaster! Very poorly designed. Mazziotti is a class act and is lost in the goofy-looking button montage. He should have run on his own. Very disappointing.
Patrick, Not when her husband, who also lives there, has sworn up and down that he would be neutral, and the sign depicts the Gang of Four.

I agree with both these observations. The sign is among the worst I've ever seen. Poor Vic should have run on hos own. They are just bringing him down.
Why are they referred to the "Gang of Four"? Why should I or anyone fiscally conservative support Dean Browning after he voted for the tax increase?
Brett, I call them the Gang of Four bc (1) there are 4, (2) they are running together, (3) they are trying to knock off Browning.
Whys should a fiscal conservative vote for Browning after he supported a 15% tax hike. Had his fellow Comm'rs listened to him three years ago, there would be no tax increase. Had they listened two years ago, there would be no tax increase. Had Browning failed to sit down with Cunningham, the tax hike would have been much larger. Other Commissioners who screamed loudly about the tax hike did nothing to prevent it and in fact voted for many of the programs that made this hike necessary.
Bernie my friend, too far on this one. Even a County Party chair has the individual right to freedom of speech. You're wrong on this one.

1) So your interpretation of Woodman's pledge trumps her right to post her political sign in her yard? I don't think so, at least not in this country.
2) Have you ever been married? Try telling your spouse that she has no right to post her own sign in her own yard. Suddenly home is not a great place to be.
3) I believe that Woodman told you that he would be supporting his wife. I suppose he could go out and black out the other candidates' names, but that would go back to the marriage issues in #2.
Look Patrick, it can't be any more plain that Woodman is just not being honest. After making that pledge to so many people, you damn well better believe that I expected to see NO SIGN in his yard endorsing anyone But his wife. You have made excuses for this, for false affidavits, for his circulation of nomination petitions, etc. Don't you think you've run out of excuses by now?

Maybe you're right.
