Did You Know Callahan is a Marxist?

Hey, that's what a tea party signs says, so it must be true. I always suspected Congressional candidate John Callahan was a damned Marxist, and have even heard rumors that he's seen a few of those Marxist movies.

The Tea Party is poised outside the exclusive Blue Grillhouse, where VP Joe Biden and Callahan are making clear just how much they care about the common man on Tax Day. It costs you $250 just to get in the door. A baked potato is another $5.

They are waiting by the mailbox for their medicare reimbursements and social security checks, then they'll go and protest socialism

Bernie
Can you get a picture?

This is a "smear" that BO always complains about.

Since the money for these horrifically wasteful boondoggles has been confiscated from them for years, they have every right to get as much back as what was stolen from them. You assume everybody should be thrilled with how poorly managed these programs have been. Demanding an end to the continued waste and fraud and mismanagement that has marked these and other government meddling is common sense. Except for the shiftless who are part of the change that's become so widely unpopular.

O'Hare is the poster-child for hypocrisy.

What do you want?

I'm sorry, I have no picture of this. As far as this being a "smear," I made a joke out of a goofy sign. The whole point is that it is ridiculous to call Callahan a Marxist.

At the same time, I think Karl marx would be deeply offended by a fundraiser like Callahan had at the Blue on tax day.

So basically, I defended and poked Callahan.

how many tea party protesters showed up at Blue today? I was too busy working (and having a sandwich from the brown bag) to drive by and see for myself.

At most 20-25 protestors...I might be being generous.

Bernie O'Hare said...

I was not there myself, and this post is based on the first person account of a friend. He tells me there were 20 - 30 protestors. That's a little better than LEPOCO.

In other words, give me mine you crook.

Limited gov't is limited gov't. It is either an absolute or it is not. If it is not absolute, it is self-serving.

bernie,

how come you are not reporting on angle asking again for an out of county judge on his "i can do what i want and hold two offices" case, I mean "the people have spoken and elected me to two offices"(even though it is illegal) case. two question for you to answer: 1) angle is complaining that ten years ago when he did the same thing ( i know such audacity) the case was given a Berks county judge, and now he is crying b/c that is not being done again, why is that bernie, is it b/c ten years ago we did not have a senior judge and now we do? 2) why is it when people like angle want to skirt the law he exclaims the people have elected me, let the people decide not the judges and all will be ok. although, when the shoe is on the other foot, like those who still claim oboma is not a citizen b/c hawaii was not a state yet (oh yes it was), but the people elected oboma so by the same reasoning even if he was the arab (Hussain) non American people claim it is ok b/c the people have spoken and elected him, so what if the pres is not a citizen. Please help me out with an answer

Anon 4:18, I write all the time about Angle. This post focuses on Biden, Callahan & THe Tea Party. You are OT.

Bernie O'Hare said...

Anon 4:57, I have a few reports of 20 to 30, but have no doubt that Scottt's figure is accurate. I was not there so am in no position to dispute anyone.

Let me give you the perspective of a 40 year old who works, pays my taxes, etc. When I hear/see people who are already collecting their benefits talk about eliminating the system, cutting it back, or whatever, what I hear is "pay for my benefits, and make sure you can take care of yourself because I could care less about your future. I deserve the social safety net and you don't."

Social Security was a direct result of a USA that had no social
safety net and when things spiraled out of control, many, many people could not financially cope. Read yor history.

While I do believe the system needs to be modified to an extent (slightly lower benefits, and slightly increased taxes), I find it hard to imagine what the situation would be if we didn't have a social net when the economy blew up.

The conversation we need to have as a country is what should Government be doing and how do we pay for it. An honest conversation, based on facts and historical precidence, not the nonsense talking points we get today from blowhard talking heads. Calling Callahan a "Marxists" adds nothing to the conversation and makes the person holding that sign (and those who defend that person), look ignorant of the facts, void of reality, and generally like a fool.

Wow if that is what they were trying to sell, they really have some fringe members.

Flashing lights usually draw a crowd.

Heard Biden stopped by an elementary school. Is that true?

Bernie O'Hare said...

True. He saw them out at recess and stopped the motorcade.

Now Ohare will love the event because Team Callahan got Angle to show up. That is smart on their part. Since that tactic will get Ohare to lighten up on the event and Callahan.

What a bunch of crap!

Bernie O'Hare said...

Yeah, I'm sure all those politicos decided to invite Angle just to appease one goofy little blog. The fact that he is the President of County Council means nothing.

Cuckoo!

Biden stumping for Callahan talking about working families, faith in the American drive and a rebounding economy is a Stark difference from Palin trash talking the down-and-out, the childish one-liners, speaking down to community organizers, and flat out representing the Pessimistic Party(s).

Hey 10:30, if you believe Biden's parroted talking points, you're as dumb as Joe is and likely think that doll hair of his is real. Look around. They made a bad situation much worse and with their cap and tax and VAT schemes still to come, they're about to break Jimmy Carter's records for economic ineptitude by the executive branch. And you're listening to the hair-plug, Botox guy who doesn't have a clue what day it is or what town he's in. Good grief.

Callahan paid off Angle. The drama continues. As long as Angle continues to get his puppet Stoffa to hand out the sweetheart deals.

really? name one.

Sure, they will name things. People love to keep their jobs. Stoffa is not a guy you want to piss off.

Typical tea bagger hypocrisy. They have no idea what they are even protesting, all they know is Glenn Beck writes on a chalkboard about this conspiracy. So, let me get this straight. They will stop accepting payments from federal programs once what THEY deserve is exhausted. Does this mean all the others accepting SS, Medicare, and unemployment benefits never paid in? Or does it depend what language they speak, the color of their skin, or what section of the city they live in?

See what I mean? This is straight off of Glenn Beck. This fool is berating two programs that have never even passed and calling it a catastrophe.

Newsflash: The economy is currently rebounding nicely. Does your entitlement check arrive today? Your welcome.

Really? Let me know where you live so I can move there. The stock market may be doing nicely, but the economy is in the tank, and everybody in ther real world knows that.
