read that article again. it does mention cutting athletic faculty. It also says:"Because of contractual obligations to the faculty union, only the proposed academic cuts have been made public, he said."In other words, there is nothing public stating that sports won't be cut. the only public statement is that some academics are being considered. Still, good for the students to exercise their rights.
Thanks for your more careful reading. It is appreciated. I probably spent too much time with the sports. It certainly looks like academics take priority over sports.
