Lehigh County Has New EMS Director

From Lehigh County –Lehigh County Executive Bill Hansell today announced the hiring of Scott J. Lindenmuth as Lehigh County’s director of emergency management Services.

“I am pleased to have found someone so quickly who has such strong support in the emergency services community,” said Hansell. “We look forward to working with Scott as a leader on our team.”

After his retirement from the city, he served as manager of LCCC’s public safety leadership center and project manager for adult learning and training grants as well as public safety grants from the federal government.

“I look forward to working with the staff at Lehigh County and participating with Lehigh County’s team of first responders and the community at large,” said Lindenmuth.

Lindenmuth will begin his new position effective April 29, 2013.

Another plan would have been to combine Lehigh and Northampton county into one 911 center.I understand Stoffa suggested this.

That's probably 15-20 years away, unfortunately.

Sounds like another double dipper...mirroring what's going on in Sheriff Rossi's office.

Part of an overall gun control plan. Back door control by buying up all the ammo. Without bullets your guns become expensive paper weights.

What on earth do any of these comments have to do with the hiring of this guy?

He's a good hire by the way.

Hopefully he'll be able to come up with a solution to better utilize firefighters as first responders/partners with police. Too much sittin around firehouse waiting for fires to happen.

This gentlemen has been in this specific industry and you can't get folks from out of the air to fill this important slot. Good for him, he has been around the block and been in the fires and seen the blood at the crash sites, heart attacks, CVA's and shootings. Knows industrial cites and how EMS works. Sorry, I got carried away with ZOMBIEs. I was trying to be curve up the crazy stuff the national government is up to.Thank you for your service to the public. I mean that too.
