I receive a lot of comments that simply state "Trump 2020." What they should be
stating is "Trump 200,000."
According to AP, the US death toll from Covid-19 now stands at that number.
Donald Trump said yesterday that it was "a shame," but added the US is now
"doing well" and that "the stock market is up."

Bernie blames Trump for "200,000" deaths but then complains about Wolf and his draconian mandates that killed the economy. Another part of TDS, blame Trump when it fits but give the Dems a pass even though it was their own policies as governors that did the real damage to both people and the economy.

Whether you acknowledge it or not, fact is that one reason PA deaths are not a bigger part of the 200,000 is Wolf.
Lots of blame to go around but very little responsibility taken for either the good or the bad decisions made by those in power. It was mostly reactive in nature and that was what really hurt the nation. And we are still under the cloud until a safe vaccine emerges. Rose colored glasses of no use at this point..we are in a very tough spot as a nation. I remain hopeful but it is fleeting at best.

To be fair Bernie - NY, NJ & PA were brutal in the early going and still have high death #'s resulting from that period, but have flattened considerably since May, so as draconian as it was, it produced the desired result.
The bottom line is you either had to trade lives or the economy, there really wasn't a way to have both.
A comprehensive national plan could have/should have been put in place in Jan/Feb, but Trump/Kushner either underestimated what was coming or sadly ignored it.
20/20 hindsight - Trump could have used January as a rally around the flag moment - and impeachment distraction - with a "We're all in this together" message, asked people to limit their travel, ask companies that could to utilize remote working environments, push mandatory mask initiatives, minimize large crowds, push for restaurant take out, etc. Even with all of that, we'd still be looking at tens of thousands dead.
Trump didn't start the virus or wreck the economy. Considering Mask-on/Mask-off Faucci said 2.4 million would die, 200,000 (which we know from Dr. Birx is likely overstated by half), is good.
I also like that Trump hasn't started any wars like the Nobel Peace Prize guy who started four and sent thousands of our young men and women to die. When he called Marines "corpse men" he wasn't kidding. But Dems like Bernie are now pro-war and times have changed. Weird times, indeed.

How anyone cannot blame this administration for the total F-up is beyond me. The deaths lay squarely on tRump and his minions for their failure to follow any type of past protocols to protect our country's citizens and in fact eliminated those who may have helped mitigate the disaster with which we now live.

Wow, the percentages of death look so low. I wonder why they needed those semis to pile up the bodies in? Hard to believe a lot of countries won't even allow a U.S citizen entry into their country despite the money they lose. Wonder what they're afraid of? Someone should send them the percentages.

The REAL numbers of those who died directly from this virus is significantly lower. Also remember, a wide variety of test methods have been used to determine the probability of Covid-19. Some, not very reliable in practice.

Similar to when Herbert Hoover did little in beginning of Depression and delegated to States! When the Election came, He lost to FDR, and FDR, did lots of Federal Programs to help the country and won other Elections! Historical Record will cite the mistakes that this President has made, and lots he could have done to save lives and didn’t!
Of course Biden would have done more, he would have had a Face Covering Mandate early on, and gotten more Supplies to Hospitals, and Front Line Staff! Most Leaders would have done more!
