Blogger Chris Casey notes that American Bank Prez Mark Jaindl gave $2,000 for Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski campaign warchest "within days of his investing Jaindl money into the proposed riverfront development down by the Lehigh Structural Steel property."
Let's see. The contribution was made 12/5/11, and one month later, a Morning Call story reports Jaindl's interest in Allentown's waterfront.
According to the state campaign finance website, Mark Jaindl has contributed to numerous Democrats and Republicans over the years. But never to Pawlowski. Then suddenly, on 12/5/11, there's a $2,000 check for Pawlowski.
That's a lot of turkeys!
Interestingly, Jaindl gave no money to any other candidate in 2011.
Probably a coincidence.

Might not be a lot of asbestos floating in the air in Allentown but there sure is a lot of sewage.
Big deal all your mancrush politicians got money from their contractor buddies.
yeah that is strange....like the money Chrin gave Ron AFTER he lost the election
Rumor has it Abe made a donation to Ron after the last Council meeting....want to confirm?
Pawlowski is not bashful when it comes to money, if you want to Play in Allentown, a City Without Limits, you Pay. Need a investigation as to how and when the monies are raised and if in violation of any laws. Jaindl is only doing what others have done. The question is was he contacted for a contribution from Pawlowski or someone within the Pawlowski Freinds campaign organization.
What's to question? I just assumed Janindl made such a contribution. Expect the frequency and amount to grow as the mayor runs for governor.
Callahan must be right there with Pawlowski. Both of them are not bashful about taking the big time cash.
John Morganelli is running for governor. He's waiting for a guy to show up with an envelope in a hotel room in Pittsburgh as we speak. Free HBO.
