Mezzacappa MIA at Bethlehem City Council
I came with Towelie. He admitted he was at Payrow Plaza on July 4, but only to make sure everyone had towels. He did speak to people, but about towels.
"Anybody want a towel?"
"No, we do not want a towel!"
"Well do you wanna get high?"
Towelie and I sat right behind a reporter, who promptly asked me to move a few feet away, out of her line of fire.
Mayor John Callahan and all seven members of City Council were wearing body armor. But all Controller Bob Pfenning was given was what Callahan called a magical Moravian Star. "This will keep you safe, Bob, I promise," swore Hizzoner. Pfenning then delivered his quarterly report, which lasted about three months, I think duct tape would have been more appropriate.
Mezzacappa, engrossed in raising money for the Jim Gregory defense fund, was probably too busy collecting major donations from the Mayoral candidate's many supporters.
Before they left, Towelie reminded everyone,. "Don't forget to bring a towel!'
