According to two anonymous sources, the blighted Dixie Cup factory in Wilson Borough is under agreement. This mostly vacant factory building stopped manufacturing over 40 years ago, and has since become both an eyesore and attractive nuisance to students at nearby Easton Area and Wilson Area High Schools. It has even drawn the attention of youtubers who have filmed the hulking interior.
Last year, property owner WilsonPark Ltd sought a tax break known as a LERTA to attract a buyer who intended to use the property, at least in part, as a warehouse. That incentive was rejected by Northampton County Council after this blog reported that the site was subject to $346,000 in liens owed to Wilson Area School District.
Since that time, WilsonPark appears to have paid off its tax liability, but the site itself is still blighted.
There is no record of a deed or agreement of sale, although marketing sites no longer list the property. It is unclear who plans to purchase the property or whether government assistance will be sought.

Since the county council gave the Lerta to UMB; I see no way possible that they won't give one to the Dixie property no matter what is proposed to go there.
