Following the Money: Democrat Ken Kraft Paid For Challenge to GOP Opponent Bill Rowe

Pre-primary finance reports are due today. They give the public a chanceto follow the money and see who is funding candidates and how the money is being spent.

Ken Kraft is seeking the Democratic nomination to Bethlehem's County Council seat. It includes Bethlehem City, Hellertown, Lower Saucon and Williams Tp. Hellertown resident Bill Rowe was seeking the Republican nomination, but failed to file a copy of his Statement of Financial Interests with the Council Clerk. This is a fatal defect. Rowe's petitions was challenged by Steven R Topp, who was represented by Bucks County elections lawyer Larry Otter. Rowe's nomination petition ultimately failed, and he now must wage a write-in campaign to get the Republican nod.

Kraft filed his finance report early. It shoes he paid $1,000 to Otter on March 12. So we know for sure now that Kraft was the person behind this Republican challenge.

Kraft also paid $2,000 to NorCo Fiscal Affairs Director Steve Barron for web site development and online work.  Kraft also gave $500 to Executive Lamont McClure's campaign find. This is worrying. How can he be an effective check on this administration when it is helping his campaign?

Bar4ron Von Footinnmouth just can't help himself. Collecting money for his part-time job of helping a former McClure appointee to get elected to county council to oversee both McClure and Barron. This is how the guy got censured, Barron just can't get out of his own way with this stuff. As for Kraft all we know is he gave Otter 1000 were K got it from is anyone's guess.

What a skeevy rotten politician and ward of taxpayers. Guys who can't pull their own weight will do anything to harm the chances of those who can. I wouldn't hire him to nail a door on a shithouse. He's largely unemployable at this point. Pay him now or put the fam on welfare. Skeevy indeed. Write in his opponent - any opponent.
