An hour-long debate between Northampton County DA candidates Terry Houck and Steve Baratta is scheduled tonight, 7 pm, at PBS studios in Bethlehem. It will air on PBS39 and will be simulcast on WLVR 91.3.
Both Houck, the incumbent, and Baratta, a former judge, are Democratsa. Barring a Republican write-in, this contest will be decided in the primary.

Received the Baratta campaign call in which the former judge wades into the abortion issue. That shouldn’t even be a topic at this point and, as a DA, needs to support the laws on the book. Baratta came across as an incredibly liberal — backs Shapiro’s death penalty stance, cash bail, blah, blah, blah. I want a moderate DA who is going to be protecting the community by penalizing offenders according to the law, rather than a warm and cuddly DA who is trying to placate others.
Republicans want to send people to jail as long as they don't have to pay the bill.
What an idiot. Democrats are all shysters in my book.
