Hellertown's Bill Rowe Will Continue NorCo Council Campaign

I told you yesterday that Senior Judge Ed Reibman has been forced to remove Hellertown resident Bill Rowe's name from the ballot for Republican nomination to Northampton County Council D1, which includes Bethlehem City, Hellertown, Lower Saucon and Williams Tp. Rowe contacted me last night to advise that he will continue his campaign for the Republican nomination as a write-in candidate.

He stated that, unlike most of the politicians we see these days, he "puts service above self and has no favors to repay. What I'm doing is purely about the people, both R and D, and those who judge on the content of character and not party know who is the rightful representative."

He practices what he preaches. He's served on the board of Bethlehem's B.E.S.T., Inc. and its Rotary Club. He also founded The Elevate Foundation, a nonprofit devoted to providing basic human needs, access to education and to support community development projects here in the Lehigh Valley. His group feeds people, participates in back-to-school drives, prepare Christmas cards and gifts for military serving overseas, collect and distribute coats and jackets during the cold months and participate in community clean-ups.

Rowe needs 250 write-in votes to secure his Republican nomination.

This is yet another reason why Republicans should take advantage of mail-in balloting. If you are a Republican who lives in D1, apply for a mail-in ballot and write in Bill Rowe for Northampton County Council.

Democracy works better when people have a choice.

Ken Kraft is the sole Democrat in this race. He's running for a position from which he resigned in the middle of his term to take a job at the jail. Now that he's secured a much higher pension, he wants return to the people he deserted so he can be a rubber stamp for the guy who gave him his job at the jail.

"Democracy works better when people have a choice."

Tell it to the judge and the creepy rubber stamp pension trough slopper who can't stop running for things and sucking on the taxpayers' teet.

I appreciate Mr. Rowe's efforts. Unfortunately for him Bethlehemites are not intelligent enough to look beyond the "D" button. Haven't been for decades.

Bernie, Does this mean mail-in ballots will finally be sent out?
