The Prime Minister Finds Such Utterances Utterly Inappropriate

At Newsworks yesterday, I learned that PennSound is compiling an online audio archive. It's a fascinating dive into literature, in which Robert Frost and other poets and authors recite their work.Though this is primarily a local political blog, I find the work here highly instructive.

Those in government, at all levels, love to play with the "bigness of their littleness," as e.e. cummings once remarked. That's highly evident in this year's presidential race, where we have all, myself included, been pretty much full of shit.

I was stuck my one artist, Jaap Blonk, who captures this perfectly. His Prime Minister, is worth a listen, not a read.

Sorry, but I'm not going to allow you to cut and paste someone's poem in its entirety. You can link to it or identify by name.

Great poem reading by Jaap, love when you get artsy Bernie it's something often neglected in our greatest intellectuals.

The point Bernie was that the poem is pertinent to the current presidential race, the Robert Frost poem, mending fences includes the old adage, good fences make good neighbors. So,it appears poetry is sometimes useful after all.

I understand your point. Poetry is always useful. The site to which I linked includes Robert Frost himself reading that poem.

I've deleted an off topic comment from a Trumpion.

Trumpion? I thought we were Trumpkins. Trumpkin has a nice ring and harkens the orange hue of Donald's hair. I also like poetry. Wallace Stevens (born in Reading) penned The Emporer of Ice Cream.

Let be be the finale of seem. The only emporer is the emporer of ice cream.

I like Trumpion, but will remember your preference for Trumpkin in future posts. By the way, it's "emperor."

Thank you. I hate it when I spell something incorrectly. Wallace is looking down from heaven and shaking his head at the mouth breather who butchers his prose.

No more Trump comments here, please.
