Northampton County's District Three, its most diverse district, is represented by Council member Lamont McClure. He supported McHale. But it's also where Stoffa lives, in Allen Township. Stoffa may not be too popular in Bethlehem Township at the moment, but won lopsided victories in Allen and in nearby East Allen and Northampton. Here's the unofficial tally. Allen Tp: Stoffa - 165 votes; McHale - 56 votes.
Bath: Stoffa: 44 votes; McHale - 38 votes.
Bethlehem Tp: Stoffa - 459 votes; McHale - 460 votes.
East Allen Tp: Stoffa 127 votes; McHale - 76 votes.
Freemansburg: Stoffa - 49 votes; McHale - 43 votes.
Lower Nazareth Tp: Stoffa - 134 votes; McHale - 110 votes.
Lower Saucon Tp: Stoffa - 276 Votes; McHale - 269 votes.
Nazareth: Stoffa - 195 votes; McHale - 127 votes.
North Catasauqua: Stoffa - 90 votes; McHale - 84 votes.
Northampton: Stoffa - 380 votes; McHale - 174 votes.
District Total:
Stoffa - 1919 votes (57.18%); McHale - 1437 votes.

Ron Heckman would have made an excellent county exec.
Ron Heckman ran for, and lost, the Dog Catcher race in Bethlehem two years ago.
Running a city race and a County race are two entirely different races. Everytime he ran countwide he won..In 1989 he finished 4th or fifth in the city of bethlehem and still won countywide. Two different races there, 8:09. Of course if you had a clue , you would have known that. Could he have beaten Stoffa. Maybe not, but I would guess he'd have ran stronger than McHale did.
There is no doubt in my mind that Ron Heckman would have run a campaign. Ann McHale did not run a campaign, therefore, I agree with you that "he'd have ran stronger than McHale did."
