Lehigh County is taking a giant step forward in government transparency and accountability. For the first time, twelve campaign finance reports are now available online. Reports for Allen Cerullo, Don Cunningham, Glenn Eckhart, Mike Welsh , Scott Ott and Percy Dougherty are available for public inspection, right from your computer.In August, Northampton County Council decided to kill any notion of campaign finance reform. Charles Dertinger worried that some "little citizen group" might actually get together and challenge campaign finances, keeping a candidate in court instead of letting him campaign. "This is over the top," he concluded.

Good for them. Looks like the 20th Century is blowing in from the West, instead of the East.
Additional reports have been added. As of this morning, there are also now reports for Dan McCarthy, Hillary Kwiatek, Jeanie McNeil, David Jones, Mark Basist and Mark Prinzinger.
I think this is a positive step.
