If you think Rolling Stone's "Make Believe Veteran" was tough on McCain, get a load of what this former vet has to say. Mea culpa: My thanks to a reader, who points out that I have the wrong title for that Rolling Stone piece. It's "Make Believe Maverick."

Reminds me of an Alabama congressional race where the incumbent was being challenged by a transplanted carpetbagger from New York. The incumbent warned voters that his opponent was from the big city and had a history of associating with "homo sapiens and thespians up north."
Good correction Bernie. Anyone who would call McCain a "make believe veteran" would be a total A**hole.
I am no McCain fan, but his service to the country, and the treatment he endured at the "Hanoi Hilton", with his refusal of early release for N.V.A. P.R. reasons, is to be highly commended.

LANDSLIDE of epic proportions about to hit the country! Thank God the terror is almost over!
The Rolling Stone article was entitled, "Make-Believe Maverick"
God, What was I thinking? Thank you for pointing out the error. I will do a correction.
