Father Alex Ordained as Deacon

Bishop looks at takeout menu while Alex waits
Regular readers of this blog know that one of my friends is Alex Joseph, whom I refer to as Father Alex. After years of seminary study, he's just been ordained as a Deacon of the Maronite Catholic Church. His priestly ordination will be on Friday, May 24, at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Church in Easton. The next day, he will celebrate his first mass there. When I get the times, I will post again.

I'll be there, but I'm wearing a lightning rod this time. Last time I was in a church, several thunder bolts went right up my ass.

At least I thought they were thunder bolts.

I got to know Father Alex at the courthouse, where he worked for several years as a probation officer, in domestic relations and even as a barber at Gracedale. He also was a barber at Crisafulli's Barber Shop in Wilson Borough.

Alex is a great guy who always tries to look for the good in others. Even me. Even those who inexplicably hate and bash him on this blog. He's takes that "turn the other cheek" admonition seriously.

He's always been a gentle soul and will be a great priest.

Even if you don't know Alex, you should go. There's a party afterwards with great Lebanese food.

District Judge Father Alex the Barber. It's like one-stop shopping. You can pay your fine, be forgiven for all your sins and get a close shave.

Wasn't Joe Leo a minister? Run, Alex, run!

Wasn't George Barr the barber a district judge and a police officer?

Which Joseph boy is this one? Is this the one from the men's clothing store?

Bernie O'Hare said...

No. I'm not even sure he is related.

George Barr was a very colorful character. I don't think he ever served as a DJ.

Bernie,

Thank you for the nice article. And thank you to everyone for the warm wishes and prayers. I greatly need all the prayers I can get. Be assured of my prayers for your loved ones and all of you.

Hopefully, some of you can make it to the ordination in May. If not, could you please, if you have the opportunity, remember to say a prayer on that day in May for my Bishop and I?

May all of you have a happy, healthy, safe, peaceful, blessed, and most fruitful and productive new year.

Peace be with you, ~~~alex joseph+

P.S. --- A big shout out to all of the crew back at Gracedale!!! I really miss all of you!

Anon 1:56 PM - Sorry but I don't want to run for district justice and Church canon law prohibits me from holding a political office. Even though I live in the ward that the late Honorable Gay Elwell once held, those days are behind me. I look forward to an ambitious and clean race in the upcoming future.

Anon 4:13 PM - The Joseph's that owned and ran Joseph's Clothier is a different family than mine. The family from Joseph's Clothier has Jewish ancestry. The Joseph family that I come from has Lebanese ancestry. My Joseph family owned and ran a wholesale produce company in downtown Easton. They Joseph's from the clothing store are good people even though they are Lehigh fans. My family are predominantly Lafayette and Moravian fans.

You are lucky to have such a good guy for a friend.
You need more friends like this.

Attention friends of Father Alex Joseph, a sick deranged mind in Allentown has posted the following on his blog.

This really does sound like a good idea. In what is supposed to be a celebration of life, the Catholic church should not encourage people like Alex Joseph … I will call the church tomorrow. I also have a letter ready to go out.

Part of me wants to see him ordained, so I can bring foghorns and other noisemakers to his ordination and exercise my free speech rights.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

Despite repeated outreaches (all ignored) to cyber stalker Alex Joseph's spiritual mentor Chor-Bishop Seely Beggiani about Father Alex's NorCo Courthouse deceit and ongoing sadistic harassment of the Mentor family, just yesterday, I received two (2) unwanted and unwelcome emails from "Father" Alex Joseph.

Blog Mentor, can you publish here what are no doubt and sadly the filth-laden and vile emails to you from Father Alex Joseph or have you already turned them over to Allentown Police and the F.B.I.?

"Monkey Mambo," LVS can't comment further on this (for now) but keep checking back for a bombshell that no one will see coming on this story ....

Most who know Father Alex realize these are the ramblings of a mentally unstable blowhard but we must support him in these times when the misguided seek to sully his goo name.

Somebody is organizing a protest to the ordination of a local kid from Easton at his own Lebanese church? That protest sounds like something right out of the playbook of the Westboro Baptist Church, who promised to picket the scene of the Newtown tragedy. Unfortunately, the world is full of haters, but I have a feeling that this protest would consist of just one person. He'll be rolling on the ground, foaming at the mouth. What a sad, twisted soul!

The Lebanese community is a tight knit community. I pity anyone that attempts to upset this process or this young man. Then they will have to deal with an uncontrollable and very personally upset mob of hungry Lebanese people.

I wonder what the two unwanted and unwelcomed emails from Father Alex said? Probably those emails were trying to help a poor and lost soul. And the receiptient got all filled up with hatred and anger and started to push away. I can't believe Father Alex would send vile and filthy emails. We need those emails for proof. Is anyone willing to post those emails for the rest of cyberspace to see and come to their own conclusions?

Bernie O'Hare said...

I would not bother.

Going to publish the two vile emails exclusively at the blog that cannot be named ...

You are not Fr. Alex. You are the Blog Mentor, playing games. You are a very sick person.

I have known Alex for several years. He will make an awesome priest.
