Mike Pence Speaks Out on Trump's Latest Indictment

"Yesterday's indictment serves as an important reminder: anyone who puts himself over the Constitution should never be President of the United States.

"I will have more to say about the government’s case after reviewing the indictment. The former president is entitled to the presumption of innocence but with this indictment, his candidacy means more talk about January 6th and more distractions.

"As Americans, his candidacy means less attention paid to Joe Biden's disastrous economic policies afflicting millions across the United States and to the pattern of corruption with Hunter.

"Our country is more important than one man. Our constitution is more important than any one man’s career.

"On January 6th, Former President Trump demanded that I choose between him and the Constitution. I chose the Constitution and I always will.

"As your president, I will not yield an inch in defending America, our people, or our values, and I promise you: I will do so in a way consistent with my oath to the Constitution and the character and decency of the American people.

"We will restore a threshold of integrity and civility in public life so we can bring real solutions to the challenges plaguing our nation."

What a creep. He has zero chance of being nominated and is grasping at the criminalization of politics to get donor dollars that he'll eventually keep for himself. Mike Pence will never be president or presidential. That really angers him.

Pence, as VP, was responsible for conducting approval of that year’s election process and certification of Elector’s votes. I have read, he DID hold the right to delay the certification to a later date until objections to any state’s Delagate’s proposed cast of their votes. I believe that to be true. Did we not have a similar delay over the “hanging chads” debate in Florida years ago?

It is more than obvious to those willing to admit, our 2020 Election had multiple and SIGNIFICANT irregularities seen and reported as possibly making some votes invalid. There were too numerous events to list here. I’m thinking of the mid-night running vote national totals that mysteriously halted for a brief time, only to later flash hundreds of thousands more votes to Democrat candidates in a too swift, irregular manner. I am also thinking of Philadelphia where windows were covered in real time and vote count observers denied viewing of the process.

The validity of these results were questioned particularly in 5-6 key states with enough Electoral Votes at stake to swing many different races. These objections still exist in a manner convincing to many officials. Pence decided not to delay. His call. I believe Pence was wrong. He is not at all popular to millions of people right now. His approval ratings are very low. His chances of becoming President gone.

He's a loyal guy in the image of Arlen Specter, the wormiest worm in American history after Benedict Arnold and Ben Franklin's son, William, who were cowardly and disloyal opportunists.

Mike Pence's chances of ever being elected to anything? In the words of the honorable Dean Wormer, "zero point zero." I suggest he follow the example of fellow Indiana POTUS loser Mayor Pete and to his own self be true.

HAHAHAHAHA Yeah. Is Pence even gonna make the first debate???

Can Trump subpoena witnesses now?

Pence has no chance of becoming President. However, he is a true gentleman and honest, which is more than can be said about trump. A vote for trump is a vote for biden.

Mike Pence actually had me fooled at one time (thought he was a good Vice President and a Christian). Turns out he was (is) possibly neither one.

It's a terrible way to litigate election results. But they're finally going to be litigated. There will finally be a fair hearing vs the kabuki theater show trial of the House committee.

I just enjoy videos and photos of war pig politicians cowering in fear on 1/6. I can't get enough cowardly war monger porn. Play on! I want to see Sue Wild crawling across the filthy carpet like a slimy slug. It's delicious.

Pence deserves credit for what he did on J6, but he was complicit before that.

Question: Were the so-called “fake Electors” arranged by various Republican State Committees ever seated, and did they cast actual officially binding votes?

My understanding is, a list of replacement Electors was created in the event they were able to be called in to serve. In other words, contingency planning.

@6:38 - if you believe anything that you just wrote - leave America, you're either too lost or too stupid, but either way, you don't like it here and we don't want you here.

@12:52 - the so called "fake electors" wasn't a contingency, it was part of the conspiracy to subvert the election. It's similar to arranging for your buddy to pick you up out on the curb to drive you away after robbing the bank.

try
https://www.archives.gov/electoral-college/roles
"The Vice President, as President of the Senate, is the presiding officer, whose powers are limited by Federal statute to performing ministerial duties"
so he cannot delay but hear an objection
"To be recognized, an objection must:

be submitted in writing
be signed by at least one-fifth of the House and one-fifth of the Senate
state clearly and concisely, without argument, one of two acceptable grounds for objection; that:
a. the electors of the State were not lawfully certified under a Certificate of Ascertainment, or
b. the vote of one or more electors has not been regularly given.'
He then
"If an objection is recognized, the House and Senate withdraw to their respective chambers to consider the merits of any objections, following the process set out in 3 U.S.C. §§ 15 and 17."
So Pence cannot delay the procedure because he feels like it.
" Did we not have a similar delay over the “hanging chads” debate in Florida years ago?"
The delay was caused by a lawsuit --totally different
"The validity of these results were questioned particularly in 5-6 key states with enough Electoral Votes at stake to swing many different races"
And they all were run by the courts who rejected the claims of fraud

take PA
The names of such nominees shall be certified immediately to the
Secretary of the Commonwealth by the nominee for the office of President or Vice-President, as the case may be, making the nominations.
"The electors chosen, as aforesaid, shall assemble at the seat of government of this Commonwealth, at 12 o'clock noon of the day which is,
or may be, directed by the Congress of the United States, and shall then and there perform the duties enjoined upon them by the Constitution
and laws of the United States"
None of that happened so the list of alternate electors would be considered fake.
Those folks signing the fake elector list knew exactly what they were doing--attempting to overturn a legitimate election and should do jail time for it.

4PM - of course, anyone considering themself an Elector without having a legal authorized right to that title is fake. They could also have been called “ pretend or wanna-be.” Not the issue here. Did those individuals actually cast votes that were recorded under false pretense? No. If not, how can we call them illegal participants? They didn’t do the dirty deed! We have no idea how they would actually voted anyway. I think it’s a reach to expect them to be jailed. They could have agreed to show-up dressed as prize fighters, but until they actually punched someone would they be charged with assault? Something about all this sounds unfair to me.

Pence doesn't deserve to be President. He was tRump's lapdog right up to January 6th. He was seriously considering throwing the election certification to tRump. He called Dan Quayle to get last-minute advice on what to do. Pence lied through his teeth when he says that he will always support the Constitution.

Rudy and trump made their pitch to the PA GOP in the attempt to overturn the election as far as PA electoral votes were concerned.
the weasel words " on the understanding that if, as a result of a final non-appealable Court Order or other proceeding prescribed by law" saves them from forgery charges.
The idea that they were just innocent babes in the woods and had no idea what trump was trying to do is just laughable.

A poster earlier wrote the last delay of an election certification was the matter in Florida with that year’s presidential vote result. It was brought about through the filing of a lawsuit in objection. This time, there was a decision not to delay, except for a more than several hours delay to secure the chamber.

Somewhere along the line, a group of individuals comprised of House Members, Senate Members, officials of both political parties, and certainly Trump, the defacto to leader of his party, collectively made the decision not to file a lawsuit ahead of the January 6 session to certify the vote. I think it’s fair to say such a group also ‘conspired’ to determine a course of action. Their decision was to make no officially written request for delay.

A rally to call attention to the significance of the January 6 proceedings WAS held outside. A gathering of that size required several weeks of preparation including permitting, publicity, construction, traffic control, health and security measures, etc. Some of the crowd gathered nearly a mile away from the speaker’s podium decided to riot, despite Trump’s words to the crowd to protest peacefully, patriotically, respectfully, and words to that effect.

That group was the spearhead to take the building. They were in direct contact with trump's minions in their "war room". the spearpoint was led to believe trump would lead them to glory?
Then trump wimped out. trump's lieutenants used them anyway. After the coup attempt trump and his LT's left them to pay the price.
The "officer class" doing trump's coup should be held to account.
Time will tell.

Anyone defending Trump, and worst VOTING for him in the next elections is obviously doing it for the wrong reasons. You don’t care about Trumps policies or what he can offer to the American people. You’re just voting out of spite and protecting your toxic ego and never having to admit that you were wrong the entire time about this scam artist. YOU are what’s wrong with this country, and it is YOU that need to leave if you don’t respect our elections process, not the other way around.

Go fight for fascist Russia, see how long you’ll last there.

Defending Trump? Fight for Russia? Eff you, you commie sympathizer. Navalny just got 19 years for opposing the president of that country. Uncle Touchy Biden is attempting the same thing against a political opponent. And scum like you defend it. You go to Ukraine and fight along side the neo-nazis who make your pockets tight you war pig scumbag.

Let’s hold everyone to account! This should include the Capital Security Guards who opened the huge metal doors from the inside and waved people to come in and the others who moved stanchions away to permit more people enter the House Chamber. It should include Ray Epps who roamed throughout the mob and incited many people to keep pushing forward. It should include the Security Officer inside who killed Ashli Babbitt whose body was still outside the interior door and who was unarmed. The Capital Security Guards who gave the Viking Guy a personal tour of the hallways before the riots even began. Same guy who sat and put his feet up on a Legislator’s desk. It should include whomever decided not to bring in additional military to assist. These are facts, most with video. It should include all the ANTIFA thugs identified wearing MAGA hats. There is much being censored about that entire episode throughout American big media.

Fortunately, the Trump defenders should be allowed to bring out most of this when the latest indictment gets to a courtroom. A legitimate trial proceeding could possibly destroy Smith’s effort to prosecute. I look forward to the truth. All of it.

By all means hold officers accountable--that does not excuse maga folks assisting a coup.
" the Security Officer inside who killed Ashli Babbitt" the sad part about Ashli was that she believed the lies of that "officer core" and paid the price for it.
She was warned multiple times and like a lot of maga types she thought the law does not apply to her.
If anything one would want to get justice for her by nailing the coup leaders to the wall as she fell for their illegal plan.
As to so called antifa feel free to name those actors who led gullible maga folks to beat police with the American flag.
There has been plenty of time for those false flag operators to be exposed but maga folks like Alex Jones talk a lot but bring no proof.

"Biden is attempting the same thing against a political opponent"
And trump has done no wrong and is pure as the driven snow?
Just a suggestion that might help--take the plastic off the cigars before smoking them.
As to Ukraine trump's solution to end the war has the same merit as his "infrastructure plan"
or his "healthcare plan".

Eyewitnesses, verified text messages, recorded phone calls, physical evidence, Trump discussing it on tape, none of this is really enough to prove anything other than he wants to be my President and I while I don't like him that much, I'm still probably going to vote for him.

Dave C -

Seek out the long interview with Chuck Todd done a couple days ago on NBC. I found the clip and so can anyone else. In it, Trump’s lead lawyer school’s Todd about the true meaning of the upcoming trial. Viewing that segment straightens many things out about Trump’s significant defense points. Todd (and NBC)made complete fools of themselves. So, what’s new, eh?

That's their court of public opinion defense. That will not be used in a court of law. I guess it just made fools of the people who believe what they say.
