COVID Making a Comeback

The stock prices of COVID vaccine manufacturers are crashing, but according to The Washington Post, the virus is on the rise. Hospital admissions have increased, but are still far below where they were at this time last year.

I reside in senior housing, and there are several cases. They appear to be mild.

My mother and father in law both had it 3 weeks ago . My father in law was hospitalized for 15 days. My mother in law was sent home with the plaxovid. Both okay now with some loss of taste and coughing. They are their mid to upper 80s. Live in Bethlehem.

I received several comments that still seem to deny the existence of this virus, which I refuse to post.

It exists, but the suggested danger is artificially inflated

I mean, it’s not like viruses mutate or anything…

It is odd because the same people in the next breath accuse Faucci and Gates for developing it in their basement. I actually believe that might be true because Faucci got the advanced deluxe chemistry set from the Sears catalog.

I got 3 doses of vaccine. I don't want more. Anyone else in this group? Risk vs return?

As you can see, from 2 comments, no one cares about covid anymore.

Got my booster a couple of weeks ago. Arm was sore for a few days but otherwise no side effects.

Statistics and general information related to the success of the last boosters against the Omnicron variant was limited and basically that which was available said not effective. Also they still have not told anyone the time frame for protect after infection. This is unacceptable if they expect pet to make an educated decision about the new booster to be released. Risk v benefit can't be determined. We are expected to blindly accept without facts. Being in the medical field this is extremely frustrating and we wonder why it's being questioned. Give the facts to us to make an educated decision shame on them if they don't have more data after all these years

A registered Democrat says that CoViD is back in time for a presidential campaign. Weird, huh?

There are almost no cases. This is outrageous fear mongering. Appears most are laughing at you though. That's reassuring.

827 is not dumbass but I do agree with them

When covid hit Nashville the birth rate dropped because family reunions were not allowed.

I'm due for another booster. Happy they're available.

I got the original vaccine and the booster. I’ve had the virus twice. I feel fine so I’m not getting anymore shots.

Re 1:15 pm; I totally agree. I took the first two boosters and am quite done. As info did trickle out about how this virus works it became clear that vaccines were going to be at best catchy and should have not been given out to broad base as it was. My issue is that Covid-2 is a corona virus much like the common cold and they mutate often, which makes a vaccine just about impossible. I had two bouts with this; one extremely mild and one that lasted a week like a bad cold and did not have a fever, lose taste and smell; just annoying. I expect to get the next variant. Just add this to the list of seasonal respiratory issues.

Most of you anti-intellectuals won’t read it or will dismiss it as “wokeism” but this new study suggest that higher covid deaths among Trump supporters has had an impact on elections throughout the US and will have an even bigger impact on the 2024 presidential election.
