Designed by USA Architects, it will be located on the first floor of the vacant Southeast Wing.

There will be no cost for the daycare services for Gracedale, Emergency Operations Center, and Forensic Center employees.

It will be operated by The Learning Locomotion.

Total cost? $562,399, split among General Contractor – CMG of Easton, Inc.; Mechanical (HVAC) – JBM Mechanical; and Electrical – Billitier Electric.

This daycare was approved by a 7-2 vote of Northampton County Council in May 2022, with John Brown and John Goffredo voting No.

It is a pilot program that might be expanmded in the future for other county departments or discontinued.

Taxpayer dollars paying for government employees to have free day care. Why should taxpayers need to pay this! Bad enough we have to pay school taxes without any kids in school system. McCLURE NEEDS TO GO!

This is a nursing recruitment benefit. Gracedale is not an attractive destination for nursing staff.

To bad we don't have any empty cells at the jail. We could just bring our kids in also. We are just having to mandate 150 officers a week. Once again can help one group of employees screw the rest.

Great news! Every working parent should have access to affordable daycare. I hope this helps Gracedale recruit more employees.

This is why we need to promote abortions in the healthcare package. Get rid of the kid and get back to work. Off the kid, save the cost of childcare. And again, get back to work - fast.

Make it attractive by improving conditions for residents and staff. Day care may be beneficial but who pays for this. Make the job appealing and they will come or should I say they would stay

Fantastic program, All companies should have these benefits for their workers.
This is the best news I read from this blog in some time.

Trapped in the 50’s - “Day care.” Is it for children, the elderly, or pets? PA governmental agencies have advised providers to stop using that term replacing it with child care, early childhood education or development, etc.
