Whoever wins this race will likely face incumbent Sue Wild in the Fall. She has made no formal announcement, but has filed a statement of candidacy with the Federal Elections Commission. She was first elected in 2018.
MacKenzie has introduced what he calls "his 4 Principles For America: Grow Our Economy, Defend Our Values, Secure Our Communities, and Restore Our Freedoms."
MacKenzie, who was first elected State Representative in 2012, but announced he has decided against seeking re-election.
According to his statement, he is "a 9th generation resident of the Lehigh Valley. His ancestors and family members fought in the Revolutionary War and in both World Wars, helped build companies like Hercules Cement that supported families in our area for generations, and served in respected professions like nursing and teaching."
He claims to be a known conservative "feared by the establishment as one of the most effective and proven reformers in government. Ryan didn't just talk - he got our values enacted into law." He claims to have led efforts that have saved $400 million per year at the Department of Labor and Industry.
He is a graduate of Parkland High School and New York University, wherehe graduated with honors. He also has an MBA from Harvard Business School.

It would be interesting to see whether or not he was at the meeting with PA repubs where the discussion revolved around tossing the election results.

In my opinion I think Mackenzie is the clear front runner at the moment.
Ryan is the only one that can raise money. He is the only serious candidate. The other two won’t be able to beat Wild. I’m voting Ryan.

What is the loyalty to Susan Wild all about? Is it that she will vote nearly 100% with Pelosi, no matter how radical the proposal? An extremely loyal hack for the leadership of her party. Or, maybe her success in writing and passing legislation? We haven’t seen that.
I know very little about MacKenzie, but, I do know he’s not Susan Wild, and that’s appealing to me. I also know, the Democrat Party is weakening America and many changes are needed within that group.
Did this guy actually serve any time in the military, or is he just going to try and get some mileage on the coat tails of his ancestors. He shouldn't even mention them unless he put in his own time.
Our district is funded from California. We don't need locals around here. Sue Wild attends all the right dinners. Her huge ass and three chins packed onto that dwarf-like frame are proof. I'm for Sue - all of her.
Where have we seen this before? GOP puts up a pandering clown that riles up their shrinking base of low information voters against what should be an easy to beat Democratic opponent. Attracts zero independent or swing voters and loses handily in the general election. Proceeds to whine and cry about how unfair it is.

Ryan is a legend in his own mind. He got appointed to his seat by former chair Wayne Woodman when Doug Reichley became judge. Ryan’s daddy also used to be Chair of the local GOP. He immediately started running for leadership positions in the House Republican Majority and lost every time. His colleagues couldn’t stand him. He tried to become a “power broker” here by endorsing candidates. Who were the candidates? His mommy (who won a safe R district) and Ben Long (who got the least amount of votes in a recent local race he ran in).
Kinda pathetic to get married and buy a “rescue” dog just because you want to be in Congress. (And yes it’s fair game because he put that in his release).
Wild will crush him, if he even beats Dellicker.
I’m with 7:45. This guy is all ambition with no skills or aptitude. He promotes himself to no end with photos from an hour visit to a local school. He would like to be a career politician, but his performance so far doesn’t warrant it.

Wild supports the never ending quagmire in Ukraine. She's not asked for a cease fire or any peace negotiation. She's just funding an endless war across the world. She won't be happy until a nuke flies. No wonder she was impossible to live with. Get her out.
What does "Secure our Freedoms" mean?
Does the representative support women being able to terminate a pregnancy if they choose? Is he against book bans? Does he support medical care for the LBGTQ+ community?
I need more information on his statement about "freedoms."

Susan Wild is not a leader. She’s merely a well-paid, pre-counted vote. But, she’s not alone in that. Our Congress is stacked with people of her type.

Ryan is not a good person. He embodies everything we do not want in DC. A career politician who never had a real job that was born on third base. His pops got him anointed as state rep. He is a narcissist prick.

He’s made WAY too many enemies on his own side. There are many RESPECTED republicans locally that will vote for Wild in the general if he’s the nominee and will be vocal about it. Ryan only cares about his own ambition. He’s not a team player. Well, karma is a bitch my man.
Somebody should check if the Mackenzie family ever had slaves. Since he’s running as a ninth generation Mackenzie, it’s now fair game.
