Tara Zrinski is a NorCo Council member who would like a State Representative in a fairly conservative district. If she were able to come across as level headed and motivated by common sense, she might succeed. She's acting instead like a lunatic. I've seen numerous angry flashes from her time on Council, especially when reminded she needs to use her mike. But even I was unprepared for this unhinged display outside the Bethlehem Post Office in August.
Below is my translation of her rant as she paced back and forth armed with a bullhorn, a Zrinski T-Shirt, jean shorts and a mass of dangling keys.
"[Unintelligible] is saving our election. He's saving our election ... he's saving our democracy and that is what is at stake... Make no mistake. ... That is on the line ... We know Republicans and Donald Trump [crouches for some reason] want to sabotage this election. We know that they are scared ... And why do they know that we know they are scared? [stamps her foot] ... We are coming. We are going to take their seats. Nowwww. [crouches again].And November 3. So you need to vote by mail, and if you do vote by mail, use the post office, use it early,and if you can, walk it in. ... Do you hear me? [shouting and pointing] ... Walk it in. In Northampton County, we will have ... a drop box ... in the rotunda ... of the courthouse ... it will be made available and you will not have to be screened or temperature checked before you go through ... Amy Cozze [Voter Registrar] has assured me that we will have 100,000 voter by mail ballots printed up and ready to go at the end of September. ... So we are ready to go ... How about you? ... Make your plan now to vote and get out there and help our [unintelligible] ... There are postcards to run, postcards to mail, ballots to get into the hands of people [this would be illegal from her], we need calls made ... we need to w-w-w-[voice gets shaky]-in. ... Why? Because our democracy IS At Stake [pointing]. So what are we gonna' do? [fist in air and one foot stomps] Vote! What are we gonna' do? [fist in air and other foot stomps]"
I certainly agree our democracy is at stake. In fact, I'm so concerned that for the first time in decades, I voted STRAIGHT Democrat. I voted for Wild over Scheller because Scheller refused to distance herself from Trump. I voted for Shapiro, whom I consider an opportunistic phony, because he stands against Trump. I voted for Kate Brennan as State Rep against Joe Emriick, which was easy for me because I know she'd be much better. But I refuse to vote cRaZytown, and that is Zrinski.

I love her passion,she had that crowd whipped up into a frenzy including many motorists passing by this was a powerful demonstration of the oration technique employed by her allies in BLM.

Regardless of your politics Ann Flood seems like a decent person. Just to show you how much of a despicable person Zrinski is, I got a mailer yesterday from her campaign. It accuses Ann Flood of misappropriating funds from her non-profit. The nonprofit started after the death of her daughter. The footnotes given provide NO PROOF of any wrong doing! I tried to research it and I could find nothing inappropriate. This is the kind of crap that people are sick of! Disgraceful! Flood seems like a decent person who has helped many. Zrinski is unhinged! She needs to seek medical/mental health treatment.

I said he's on track to win bc he won by 45,000 votes in 2016 and there are now more Republicans registered. I believe Trump is likely to win NorCo or the race will bc very close. Ordinarily, I'd agree with you. I like divided government. But the GOP has to pay a price for their embrace of Trump. DeFoor has failed to distance himself. If Nina Ahmad acted like Zrinski, I'd be voting DeFoor.

I voted with my head. I consider Trump a very real danger to our democratic republic. He has alienated us with our allies while embracing dictators. He is a nonstop liar. Many of them, including some of my closest friends, refuse. Those people are still my friends but I could never support them for any office so long as they continue this embrace. They need a message.

People should talk to her x-husband. Zirinski brags about raising he three sons, yet she didn't. What will happen to all the money she conned out of people when the race is over?
Let me just say if I may. I am a lifelong Democrat. Ms. Zrinski is not. What I find sad is how many great county employees and retirees think she is "for them". She is not. She is for herself. If any of her fellow Democratic officeholders would be honest with you, they would tell you that. She wants a job with all the pomp and circumstance of the state house. A job where she can do little and say a lot. I was told the first thing she wanted to do after getting elected was to give herself, a part-time official, heath benefits. She never worked for the county a day in her life. She is no more representative of the people of he district as the man in the moon. Her attacks on her opponent are appalling, regardless of Party.
If this is the model of the new Democrat officeholder. I may well end up voting for write-ins.
