911 Dispatcher Misinforms Public About Stockertown Accident

About the only thing right in an Express Times story about a recent collision in Stockertown is that there was one. According to the article, an unidentified dispatch supervisor took it upon himself or herself to reveal there had been a six-car accident requiring two ambulances. In reality, it was a two-car accident, and five people were hospitalized after three ambulances responded.

Six cars seemed like four too many. Thanks for the update - didn't see one elsewhere, many hours later. You're eating the dailies lunch, Bernie. (cue insults here)

The dispatcher moonlights as an accountant for Ed.

Who is in charge over there now? Hopefully not the full figured guy who only hires "friends". That place would be a good place for county council to look into hiring practices.

Its very clear the people in charge suck at their jobs. And at 3:35am, I think your right about that guess, the place is a mess waiting to melt down.

Bernie I think you should crawl up their butts and find out what realy goes on at that place.

Very mature response. The 911 center at NC needs to be examined. I am hearing too many complaints from police officers.

yes they need to be looked at, the management does not do their jobs and its a free for all out there and its gonna get someone hurt

I listen to the scanner at home from time to time. Why do I hear dispatchers say my system went down and cannot give information? This seems like a major liability to the public and whos responsible to fix it. I also have friends that had been hung up on. What are my tax dollars going to, a group of people just taking my money. I feel that its time to go public and force that place to change or to be reassigned to an agency that can run it correctly.
