Will Joe Hanna Finally Run For Lehigh County Sheriff?

Two former Allentown Police Chiefs may be on the ballot next year. Michael Molovinsky speculates that former Chief Roger MacLean may run for Mayor. If he does, he might be joined on the ballit by former Police Chief Joe hanna.

Lehigh County's Sheriff For Life Ron Rossi has been the top crime dog there since his election in 1991. His latest term of office is set to expire next year and may be his last. In fact, there is some question whether he will complete his current term in office. Rossi is currently in a nursing home, undergoing some form of physical therapy. I wish him a speedy recovery.

Joe Hanna is currently employed as a detective for Lehigh County DA Jim Martin. I have not confirmed this with him, but have learned has a “Special Announcement & Reception” set for 6:00-8:00 pm Monday (Dec. 8) at the FOP Home at 26 North St. in Allentown.

Bernie ,this is an important issue. I am glad you are tracking it.
If this gang has pulled at least 50 records, as I have been told, it is unprecedented. One must ask "Why?" The answers can`t be good. Keep up the good work. No one else is capable. No wonder Pat LEFT.

I'm sorry to hear about "Trooper" Ronald Rossi. I vividly remember his visits to Moore Elementary to talk about various things to the students.
I know he is very well-liked and respected. Best wishes to him.

I had always heard not so nice things about Rossi, but one day in 2006 I was at a petition signing for the Democrats and he was there holding on tightly to a young man who turned out to be his son. I was touched be that. Fast forward a few years and I had the pleasure to speak to him directly and he shared with me that his son was everything to him and that he makes sure to spend as much time with him as he can. It brought tears to my eyes, because I have a brother who is special needs and our father dumped him into a nursing home. I have since changed my opinion of this great man...this great father! God Bless him! Speedy recovery Sheriff Rossi!
