I'll concede Zrinski is an expert when it comes to lying. She was actually sanctioned by a judge for perjury in a custody dispute, Not everyone can boast that achievement.
Zrinski also accuses Qayyum of claiming endorsements that have never been made. That is just terrible. Why, it's exactly what she did when she falsely claimed to have U.S. Rep. Sue Wild's endorsement in her State Senate race against Nick Miller. ... Which she lost.
Qayyum does have endorsements from civil rights icon Esther Lee and NorCo Council President Kerry Myers.
In a parting shot at Qayyum, Zrinski claims she earned her "masters degrees in the classroom." The implication here is that Qayyum's education in Pakistan and through an online course here is substandard.
Here's the truth about Qayyum. He earned two degrees at University of the Punjab before he came to this country. One is a B.A. in the arts. The other is a law degree. He practiced law in Pakistan and was admitted to the Bar.
After coming to the US, he continued his education by enrolling in an online program at Phoenix University, where he was awarded a M.S. in Criminal Justice.
Not all of us are able to afford the exorbitant tuitions charged by colleges. Qayyum was already highly educated before he arrived in the US, and took the unusual step of furthering his education here. Zrinski's slur is a classist remark aimed at people of lesser means, many of whom are minorities or refugees.
This might explain why Qayyum is getting minority endorsements and Zrinski is not.

I'll agree that, based on his campaign, Nadeem has no understanding of just what a Controller does. But then again, neither does Zrinski. Between those two, he's actually more knowledgeable and educated. He also would be his own man, while Zrinski would provide no independent oversight. As a Council member, she's been nothing more than a rubber stamp and has failed to act as a check and balance. That's a fatal flaw in a Controller candidate.

8:55, The role of a county controller is NOT to be a check and balance on the system, but to be an independent check and balance on the county exec, Council, the DA and courts. She simply does not get that. She has demonstrated, in 6 years on Council, that she has no interest in county finances but is a rubber stamp for McClure. When Council wanted final say over $10,000 handouts to small business, she resisted and argued that the Exec should have this unchecked authority. Even Kevin Lott disagreed with McClure on that point and eventually agreed Council must appropriate the funds. She does not understand that it is dangerous to entrust a lot of $ in the hands of one person. In 6 years on Council, she has never submitted a single budget amendment. Not one. And whern McClure scheduled an important Council meeting to discuss a $25 million bond to purchase the human services building, she skipped it to attend a rally for Sue Wild. She also recently skipped a finance committee meeting so she could go to Miguels and collect signatures for her nomination petition. She is far from independent and would fail to hold the county administration responsible.
She has quite a few PT jobs. She teaches at DeSales and NCC. She sells solar panels. She is the Exec Director of a group that wants to legalize pot in Pa. I believe she will treat her FT job as Controller as PT, if she's ever there at all, while continuing to pursue all her PT jobs. And of course, she will use the Controller job as a springboard to run for state office every two years.
She is a blatant opportunist who really has no clue what it's like to struggle, as she demonstrated with her classist remark about Qayyum's education.

I find the comment about posts being taken down hilarious. The newly appointed Commissioner (appointed March 20th) in Bethlehem Township is associated with Lehigh Valley for All like Zinski. The new commissioner stated that she was a Bethlehem Township councilwoman sin ce December 2022. That post has also be taken down. I guess it is only an issue when someone else from another party is doing it. They are all hypocrites and lie through their teeth in my mind.
Bernie... this guy had Landlord tenant issues going back to 2016. He has multiple violations for vehicle inspection and was cited by Bethlehem Township and Hellertown within a month. His wife who is the named owner of the property where they live has code violations currently open on her home. One opened in January of this year. Qayyum lives at the home with all the violations and it is clear he and his wife think the rules don't apply to them. Tara is flawed no doubt, but let's not turn a blind eye to this guy and his wife's shenanigans.
Usually I would not visit the sins of the wife on the husband, but in this case she is pushing him to run and the citizens should not believe he will conduct himself any differently than she has.
I just ran his name and there is no record of any citations. I also see no actions on the county level. I have heard about code violations at their home. I checked and Taiba Sultana has been cited several times.

Nadeem is Pakistani, not an Arab. The criticisms I have heard of him are (1) he is very difficult to understand; (2) he has a few tickets; and (3) He has no clue what a Controller does.
These criticisms are valid, but Zrinski has no clue what a controller does and has been on council six years.
I've notice that why she might have elitists and upper middle class white women in her corner, persons of color shy away from her even though she calls herself an ally. Anon 8:40 makes the most sense . People are running for office that are not qualified ,and do it all the time. I would like to see a requirement to post documentation about past work history and credit scores, bankruptcies, and any domestic court actions. If I may add, I think the Controller (Comptroller) set’s policy and procedures. This position is to set the course of actions. I remember my close friend Tony , told me once that when he took over this position in Easton city ( example) he couldn’t believe there were no numbers on city checks? I say what ,no numbers? So he set the policy. Overseeing also requires expertise not OJT . Got to check vendors and their costs , another issue, waist of time ,resources and money by poor policy of row officers.

John Cusick is the GOP candidate, is immersed on county finances, is an algebra teacher, probably understands county issues better than anyone currently on Council. He would be independent. Qayyum has both communication issues, has no understanding of county issues, and fails to realize the controller has nothing to do with reduction of property taxes or economic growth, which he identifies as his two top issues. A controller has no role in providing adequate funding for public schools, climate change or the racial wealth gap. the controller's office audits different county functions and watches out for things like waste and fraud. Neither Zrinski nor Qayyum understand this.
Zrinski is racist and I know that on a personal level. She also threw racial slurs at one of the Easton Democratic members who happened to be an African American and that poor lady had to leave the committee out of fear.
I have a good friend who is African American and insists Zrinski is a racist, even though she calls herself an "ally." It does seem that some African Americans are leery of her, as evidenced by the endorsement of Nadeem by Myers and Esther Lee. I really did not care for her boast that she earned her degrees "in the classroom." That's definitely classist and could be racist.
