MDJ Candidate Andrew Tupone No Longer Employed by NorCo

Andrew Tupone is the Republican candidate for Magisterial District Judge in Bethlehem Tp. He's running against incumbent Patricia Broscius.

Both candidates were at one time county employees. Pat Broscius was a well respected Assistant District Attorney who devoted much of her career to prosecuting child abuse. She was also, at least in her younger days, a dedicated runner who logged five miles a day, no matter the weather. Tupone has been all over the place. He bounced from 911 to elections to assessment. He had a bit of a reputation for causing trouble wherever he went.

He used that tactic in this race. According to some who signed his nomination petition, he misrepresented that Broscius has decided against running for re-election. Then he unsuccessfully tried to bounce Broscius off the ballot with a spurious challenge that was rejected by Judge Craig Dally.

He better hope he wins because he's no longer employed by the county. Executive Lamont MvcClure confirmed this last night. He declined to state whether Tupone has been fired, stating that it is a personnel matter.

No secret about how you feel about this man. Will you also report as critically about others in the county?

If running for MDJ, absolutely.

Tupone believes that MDJ Broscious is only running to hold a spot for next year when she will step down and Sandra McClure will be appointed by Governor Wolf.

That’s cray cray. There is no way the GOP dominated legislature would agree to this. But I could see Tupone spewing this nonsense.

Let's ask Mrs. McClure. If she denies, fine.
Go ahead Bernie. Ask.

Why on earth would I ask her to deny a silly and obvious lie being spread by Tupone? Should I ask her to deny she mainlines too? Get real.

When you use the terms, "bounce around," and "all over the place" pejoratively, please remember that this is the only way for county employees to increase their incomes and improve their positions. The county doesn't use the step system that they implemented in order to reward longevity and dedication, so there are many employees who have followed this very same pattern for the sole purpose of improving their situations.

Sure, you can always bid into another job. Some do it to advance themselves and the county. A few, like Tupone, have done it because they cause problems in every office in which they work.

I have a few questions for Tupone. Why did he take a month off without getting approval? Why did he cover the county seal on his car with a plain white magnet? How the hell would he, a right wing lunatic, know what Wolf, a left wing lunatic, is doing? Why on earth should anyone vote for a disgruntled county employee kike him over the class act that currently serves as magisterial district judge? When he answers my questions I’ll answer his.

To get fired from the county you must really be a screw up. Unions protect the screw ups and not the employees who earn that respect. Know of a drunk on the job that kept their job for more than 3 years until fired ( even when the booze was located in ones desk). Also abused sick time, lied about it , and left the job with no pay for many days on end and still able to come back to work for some time. Pitiful.
