The Chairs of both Republican and Democratic Party, Lee Snover and Matt Munsey, appeared together at last night's Northampton County Council meeting to seek an "independent" study of what went wrong in November's election. "Wouldn't that help people have confidence going into 2020?" asked Munsey. Snover thinks so, and told Council it would "reassure Lehigh Valley citizens."
They had a name, too. Dr. Duncan Buell, a Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at The University of South Carolina. According to Snover, Dr. Buell could do his analysis without examining the county's voting machines, is willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement and would work for free.
Dr. Buell previously sent an email to County Council, but Snover stated he received no reply.
There is some question about just how "independent" Dr. Buell would be, given that he's involved in former Presidential pretender Jill Stein's lawsuit against the state, seeking a decertification of the Express Vote XL voting system used in Northampton County.
Though he failed to address the request of both party chairs, Executive Lamont McClure told Council that ES&S, manufacturer of the ExpressVote XL, will be on hand at the next Council meeting to explain what went wrong and how hey are making sure it never happens again.

The suggested analyst who would work for free does not sound independent at all - which probably explains why he would do it for free.

No harm in listening to what this person has to say. Are people over there incapable of understanding what is true or not? Are they afraid of criticism or would they rather have someone come in and tell them that all is well and they did a good job? Get the voting system fixed! We keep hearing about protecting democracy but they cant select a sound efficient voting system. Maybe they would rather have a dubious result that they could manipulate for weeks after the election.
So the company supplying the machines will give an accurate, unbiased answer? So McClure thinks we are that dumb? Well maybe we will be. But, then again, they have us with the ever closing window to get another system in place. But, maybe, that is the end game. Just in case they can't impeach our president the democrats are worried about the backlash either way. Oh, yes Obama, we are still clinging to our religion and guns in Pa.
These machines are the best money can buy, when the money is buying politicians. In an effort to not undermine elections, we have undermined elections. Things fall apart quickly.
Obviously, ES&S is biased. But so is the professor.

ES&S is a piece of paper, an alias, a shell corporation, a legal fiction, very much the same as Sunblest Holdings LLC, or Urban Moving Systems LLC. We don't even know if ES&S parent company is American owned.
As Bernie has so excellently shown in prior post, whether your buying a parking lot, or a voting machine, this is how we get "snookered". If it can't make a turd it is one, so who's turd is it?

9:00, so far as I know, there was no concerted effort to document complaints. At my poll, i asked about 30 voters and wrote a post detailing their concerns.
