Court Fast Tracks Hyman Lawsuit

Nat Hyman's desire to stop the demolition of Allentown State Hospital has been ignored by state and city officials. But his lawsuit seeking an injunction against the razing of any buildings on the 200-acre campus has the Commonwealth Court's full attention.

On Wednesday, Judge Renee Cohn Jubelirer ordered the state's General Services Administration to answer the motion for an injunction by May 9. In addition, she scheduled a hearing for May 21.

Since that is election day, I suspect a continuance will be sought.

I expect the state will argue Hyman lacks standing.

This is the difference between the private sector and government. Hyman is a businessman and he gets things done! He is going to kick their ass the same way he made O'Connell look like a fool when he did that demolition job for $200,000 Ray was going to spend $1,200,000.

@ 9;15 you are correct. When Mr. Hyman ran for Mayor he was playing in their sand box, not they are playing in his! O'Connell may have pulled off that scam of a write in campaign to keep Hyman from winning the Mayor's race but he isn't going to be able to pull that shit now.

The only way this city gets turned around is if Hyman is Mayor. I look at the people in office and running now like O'Connell, Thiel Ce Ce, Hendricks, Guridy, Mota.... and I see one common denominator, they are all dumb and incapable of doing the job. Allentown is doomed.

If you are so right, then sign your name.(chicken).
Oh!! must be Ringer, Hahn, Hyman, or Zucal (Hyman's lap dog).
Have a Great Day..............

So if Hyman is so great, why didn't he run for Mayor.
He said earlier he could beat O'Connell.
A good source told me he had a poll done and it stated he would lose to O'Connell.
Fact or Fiction.?????

If O'Connell wins the people of Allentown deserve a 50% tax increase

Anon @ 1:12: I don't know Hyman but you sure are a hypocrite. You call someone "chicken" (are you 12?) for not signing their name and you don't sign yours!

I don't know O'Connell but my brother does.
He tells me O'Connell retired in 2007 and the school district was financially solid. He had nothing to do with the finances. How about the change in population possibly helped drive the schools where we are today.
So you are so wrong Tom Hahn.
Tom Hahn I live on the East Side and you are a TOTAL screwball.

10:48 since when is school administrators not responsible for the budget so a person could be an administrator for 35 years and have no responsibility over the budget so why do we pay these people over 100000 a year for. and in 2007 the schools of Allentown were not doing good their test results have been going down for decades and taxes were going up yearly you blame it on the students it's not their fault the blame is on the school leaders for not doing the job the right way.
