On the very day that Allentown Mayor Edwin "Fed Ed" Pawlowski is found guilty on 47 of 54 counts of political corruption, I get the email you see below. It's from the Chamber, claiming that Easton Mayor Sal Panto is also selling out, and quickly! I think the Chamber probably could have chosen their words more wisely.
Selling out quickly!

There should be another category besides members ($49) and future members ($89), never be members ($0).
He needs the money [$30 million] for the DaVinci Center. I know a good fundraiser in Allentown who will gladly work for him before his jail time!
All the money goes to the Chamber, not to Sal. You know that. Don't try and make an issue where none exists.
Um this is a joke.
50 bucks for cold eggs..... to listen to an elected official who gets a paycheck from the very people he wants 50 bucks from...
Umm over in Allentown isn't someone going to jail for similar antics?
Wait.. charging to hear "Squidward" Sal Panto try and sell us a piece of "bikini Bottum
real estate.....
A fish tank in downtown Easton..... rename Washington Street "Conch Street" in honor of Sponge Bob please Sal...
I can see it now... "Squidward Sal Panto" in front of the newly decorated City Hall built to look like a Pineapple
One only need ask for the Mayor's ear to get an audience, he is more accessible than a $20 crack rock in the West Ward. Sal is a lifelong South Sider who cares about his community these Onion type pieces are in poor taste Bernie.
The real Doh Biden knows a joke when he reads one. It's pretty funny, actually. I understand the Mayor will use a Powerpoint presentation and sock puppets to deliver a real stem winder.
What average resident of Easton could afford $89 for friggin breakfast? This has to be a joke.
If it's $49 for just the "updates," how much does it cost for the full version?
Just got back from a nice brekkie with Sal at Angelo's where we shared a Western omelette and carafe of prune juice in a very cozy booth. We chatted about the revival of his High School Hall of fame proposal which was scuttled by a bad economy and an assortment of nattering nabobs, the site being looked at the top of Wegadt Mountain where the old Paxinosa hotel once stood.
I like the hall of fame idea. But I think Sal just wants his junior varsity fencing letter displayed.
