Trump: "Very Fine People, on Both Sides"

These storm troopers arrived in the dead of night, carrying torches. The next day it was weapons and armor. But this was not Hitler's SS. These were American citizens, saluting each other with "Heil Trump!" and decrying Jews. "They were very fine people, on both sides," said Authoritarian Donald Trump.

"These people want violence, and the right is just meeting market demand," said a white supremacist at the end of this clip.

Bernie, I hate to say it but it doesn't matter to many of these Thump people. One guy said that the black lives matter had their time, now its our turn. I didn't know that Nazis and the KKK somehow warrant a turn at anything except going away.

They are anathema to the Constitution and rule of law, yet people still make excuses for them.
Very Sad!

TWO protest groups arrive armed to the teeth with prohibited offensive weapons. That's acceptable for one group, but not the other.

NO one writing here has any idea which representative of what group became violent against another person by committing a criminal assault. An illegal act that causes the attacked person to defend himself.

Not ONE of you!

First they come for the statues to tear down

Next they come for the books to burn

When do they come for the people ?

I fear a handful of idiots with bad haircuts and silly uniforms far less than the circumvention of our constitutional rights. If these self-appointed radical leftist thugs can determine that "white nationalists" are haters (before they've spoken or assembled), what will stop them from categorizing any American of European descent who supports our Constitution and limited government within this "nationalist" classification?

Does anyone doubt, with the drumbeat against "white privilege" on college campuses, that it will one day be determined (by these thugs) that all Americans of European heritage are haters?

Could an American atone for his sin of his skin color, by denouncing the Constitution, joining the Democratic Party, or pledging fealty to this new authority? How many fingers am I holding up?

Why are Democratic local authorities eager to withhold legal protections of property and free speech when it suits their purposes? I point to the Trump rally in Chicago, and incidents in Berkeley, Charlottesville and others. It is useful to their agendas of deposing Trump and or cleansing history to their liking.

When groups appear from nowhere with weaponry to contest a legally sanctioned event, that party must be identified as a perpetrator. They have not been, to date.

When legal permits are acquired for demonstration, there is strong implication by the issuer of such permits, that the rights of the legal demonstrators will be protected. They have not been protected.

This is nothing more than selective enforcement of the law. Who has been charged with toppling the Confederate statue in North Carolina?

it's now time to remove any black memorials as well. The civil war has been erased by the left, so there was never a civil rights issue either

Washington held slaves and wouldn't emancipate them while he was alive. He carefully shuttled slaves in and out of PA (when Philly was the capitol) to avoid PA emancipation laws. It's time to remove Washington from our history. Same goes for Wilson. He was a horrible racist who re-segregated the military and federal government and smugly told black leaders they should have voted more wisely. And what of a black abortion rate that's eight times that of whites? A lot of white people are very focused on keeping the black population in check. Planned Parenthood was founded by a eugenicist who believed blacks were flawed and their numbers could be controlled through abortion. It's worked. There's a real genocide taking place right here on American soil.

Trump's Republican has become a disgusting Brand. These folks, are the entitlement generation wanting to drain the public coffers for their own self indulgence. These are the same folks who support the ASS in the White House who wants to drain morality from our Communities. Welcome to Trump "Make America Hate" campaign.

When the left tires of removing statues like their idols in ISIS and the Taliban, they will progress to murder. Antifa protestors wear masks so they can't be identified or prosecuted when they break the law. When they feel safe enough to get away with it, murder us their next step.

Could you imagine a white politician protectively using the phrase “my people” in front of a non-white in a public hearing at the national level?

Obama's Justice Department under Eric Holder was credibly accused of racial double standards. Of course he never really had to answer for that in the national media because the national media didn’t want to highlight these accusations because they know how potentially damaging this narrative was to Obama.

No matter what President Trump says, he's going to be vilified by the Democrats who hate him even worse than President George W Bush.

We know that Bush stole the election from Gore. Now we also have Trump using the Russians to undermine Hillary.

What's there to like about President Trump, correct Bernie ?

This is all been seen before. The Divide and Conquer and Create Order Out of Chaos strategy. Too many fall into this device.

Let's hear more about Antifa. They seem to show up everywhere.

If only Hillary's campaign had known how to find PA, MI, and WI on a map.

While doing intensive reading into this matter, I came across an article, of a state care worker, [a person of color], who came to peacefully protest against the KKK and other white supremacists, but wound up using his homemade flame thrower in the debacle. Even though the press found him, the authorities haven't. Don't say this was one-sided. This was shit-storm in progress due to the inept city government of Charlottesville who allowed weapons into the area, didn't provide adequate division of parties and virtually provided sub-service policing.

Very interesting side-bar news stories the past couple of days...

Thanks to the prevalence of cell phones, the faces of the White Supremacists at their torch march and their next day rally were videoed and broadcast all over the world.

Consequently, many of them found themselves fired from their jobs, expelled from their colleges and Universities and came under verbal attack from their family and friends who did not originally know their ideological beliefs.

They will be forevermore be known as the racist scum that they truly are. People have a hard enough time securing employment if they have a tattoo. Their rally is their Scarlet Letter.

They should have covered their faces like the antifa thugs, I guess.

@Anonymous 8:19 coward:

You should have identified yourself in your post so that you could face the same backlash. Not only are you racist scum, you are gutless, too.

BTW, "antifa thug" is oxy-moronic.

Jumbo shrimp is an oxymoron. Rap music is an oxymoron. Antifa thug is not an oxymoron. Just ask the families of five slain police officers.

"TWO protest groups arrive armed to the teeth with prohibited offensive weapons. That's acceptable for one group, but not the other."

You are completely full of shit. One side came armed with guns. The counter protestors did have sticks and were in a defensive posture.

There is little doubt the violence came from one side and there is no doubt that only oneside committed murder.

If one side came with guns, then where were the gunshot victims ?

Many Democrats seem to be in support of limiting free speech when it comes to Confederate groups and flags, but these individuals do not understand the magnitude of such a request, and the impact it would have on the ability to freely speak one’s mind and share beliefs.

Limiting the First Amendment rights of individuals from -any- group opens the door for the government to use that same power and authority on you and your beliefs sometime in the future, and you can almost guarantee that’s precisely what will happen.

You don’t have to agree with someone or their hateful views, in order to respect their right to free speech. You can simply use your own right to expression to share the truth and combat the evil of racist ideologies.

Let’s hope that mindset soon starts to spread, rather than taking steps to limit our already limited rights.

10:21, I am going to start deleting comments that attack Dems or Rs. No identity politics. This is about racists and white supremacists and those who oppose them, who can be Rs or Ds. I know where you stand. With the authoritarians.

Bernie O'Hare said...

As promised, I just deleted a comment attacking the left. I will not accept comments that paint this as Democrats v. Republicans or as right v. left. What is at issue here are those who are authoritarians and those who are not. I know plenty of Rs and conservatives who are just as disgusted as I am at how the white supremacists and neoNazis acted and at how Authoritarian Donald Trump gave them a wink and a nod. This is not about right and left. This is about right and wrong. Any attempt to use this to play party politics will be deleted. Any comment5s about Barack Obama or the left or the right or the Democrats or the Republicans will be deleted. What is open for discussion is the murder committed by white supremacists and neo-Nazis, and Authoritarian Donald Trump's claim that these are "very fine people." Also, at this point, until people get it, comments must be identified.

Bernie, I see you view the damming VICE clipp and the hotel room seen was a horendious clipp to say the least. The Millie Weaver one was that particular news outlets people risking there lives to get the real stories out. The footage of the vehicular homicide killer seemed to be a little edited though.
This is like you locally risking your life to keep the public well informed to the antics of the local happemings! this inciting of riots and allowing such travisties to take place is reprehencible in the USA a civilized nation! Sad Sad day in America when this left right stuff has become a visiousness all itself and many of thos there were just trying to put food on the table working for the protestors needed advertised on craigslist? They themselfs took it to an all new level of low that I have only redd of and seen clipps on TV in black and white.:(

@9:51: BOH is a bit mistaken, IMHO. Factions of both sides (it seems to me) came ready to fight. The difference is what they were fighting for. One side was clearly wrong. Choose the side and then ask yourself, "Is that how you want to be identified..."

Agreed !!!!!

Petulant, thin skinned, paranoid Trump is destroying the Republican Party and himself by his own hand.

A woman is killed. The white supremacists and KKK had guns
and the counterdemonstrators had nothing but their bodies. There is no other side to this.

8:47 - time to catch up on your news.

These killings were done by Micah Xavier Johnson, an Afghan War veteran. Investigators found no ties between Johnson and international terrorist or domestic extremist groups (citation below). 13 months later, the story has not changed. No connection to BLM or Antifa has ever surfaced.

Your irresponsible comments do the memory of those slain officers a disservice.

The commenters here who follow their "dear leader's" equivocating characterization of white supremacists and groups protesting against them are core Trumpians. They hear his whistle and come running espousing beliefs they've kept to themselves in polite company. Furthermore, to not be able to know the difference between honoring traitors to the UNITED STATES and the founding fathers who created it is ignorance in the extreme. Read actual history books, not Bill O'Reilly's "Killing" whoever BS he tries to pass off as history. I'd say President Fullashit probably reads the same tripe, but even that would be wrong bc he doesnt read period.
